I have no problem with that hymn, but have a huge problem with secular songs, usually country style, such as "Drop Kick Me Jesus Through the Goal Posts of Life."

"Drop Kick Me Jesus Through the Goal Poats of Life"

Moderator demands that SaturnNeptune sing a few bars of that song for us here at BB!!!!:laugh:

Actually I can see the theology in that. I often use goal posts (rugby here) to illustrate the truth that everyone has sinned and 'fallen short' of the glory of God. No matter how good the kicker is he will always fall short a kick the full length of the field.

No apply that to the song title...

Or "Jesus Take the Wheel." Makes me wonder if this is a prayer for salvation, or a prayer for sanctification.

I've done the same thing with Motorcycle daredevil Evil Kaneval and his failed jump over Snake River Canyon(Remember that one??)-----whether he missed the other side by an inch or a mile---he still missed it---he fell short of the glory
