    I am trying to stick to a low fat diet due to my hiatus hernia and GERD. The meds I have aren't working too well.

    I really need to exercise more.

    Now, if only someone could invent a machine which allows me to exercise while I post at BB... [​IMG]

    I stalled for a week or so. Once I stepped back and thought about it, I realized that I wasn't eating ENOUGH carbs! Hard to believe, but I was only hitting 4-10 carbs a day.

    I bumped them back up a little, and dropped two more pounds.

    I weighed Sat evening at work, and it said I had dropped a couple more since Wed... and that was after a liter and a half of water as well as breakfast.

    Keepin' on keepin' on. I just hope I don't go nuts on our cruise (June 24-28).

    Update:

    Lost seven more pounds, so I'm at a total of 35 so far.

    It sounds like a lot, but it's not when compared to the rest of me.

    Well, I thought I might lose some weight when I was on Prednisone because it is an appetite suppressant. I did not eat because I was not hungry.

    I asked the Dr. why I did not lose any weight and his answer was, Prednisone will make you lose your appetite, but it will maintain your weight! :confused:

    After my heart tests next week, I'm sure I will be put on a regular exercise regiment, so we should see pounds just 'dripping' off. :laugh:

    Just got home from our cruise. The diet went bye-bye...

    So, I just start at the top and keep on going.

    Well here it is! Thanks, sir.

    I am good. Have finally started losing again. I read last night that most low carbers have one &quot;golden opportunity&quot; at weight loss. It was discouraging to read that most people, once they lose, then gain, athen start that yo-yo, often dont do well ever again unless they stay ultra strict on it for a long long time. So I was pleasantly surprised to step on the scale today and see a small weight loss, finally.

    Here is the recipe I mentioned on some other thread about some low carb donuts.


    1 scoop of the Dr. atkins vanilla(or choc will do) protein shake mix (I didnt have this so I just used some old zero carb bake mix I had)1 egg
    2 Tbsp melted butter
    2 Tbsp water (I used LC Milk)
    (I also had som sugar free vanilla flavoring I put in mine, but the real recipe doesnt call for that.
    mix together and fry in a pan w/ oil. Drop spoon full sizes into the oil flip when they are done. Drain on a paper towel, and either make a glaze w/splenda or sprinkle with Splenda. YUM.

    Great thanks for that recipe.

    I am doing good on my diet recently too. I have been exercising and trying to drink more water as well.

    I have tried to stay away from the scale recently and focus more on how I feel and look, but I sure I will get on that awful instrument soon.
