If that was merely the case.
    God or Son John 1:18?
The Son of man, Who is in heaven? John 3:13.

    "Most variants", not all variants.

    Romans 5:1.
". . . Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: . . ." *
    Versus.
". . . Therefore being justified by faith, let us have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: . . ."

    1 Corinthians 15:49.
". . . And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly. . . ." *
    Versus.
". . . And as we have borne the image of the earthy, let us also bear the image of the heavenly. . . ."

My inclination is those two * readings are the correct readings by reason they are the better of each. So here are two cases were I disagree with Family 35 in being correct.

In both * cases both the Critical Text and the TR agree.

    Thank you 37818!
Are you aware of other readings where the Majority Text/ Family 35 are mistaken?

If family 35 is considered mistaken in even a single point, what does that say about Pickering's claim that the family 35 text is and must be a 100% accurate representation of the autographs, otherwise (for him) "preservation" would not havecoccurred?

It could still be considered extreamly accurate, while not perfect. His claim would not be as accurate, but we do not have to have "one perfect edition" . God never made such a silly promise. No man is perfect, and he has allowed man to copy His Word to pass down to us. We are lucky, or rather blessed to have multiple editions.

I agree, Conan. But Pickering *insists* on 100% "perfect" preservation, without which (according to him) we supposedly cannot trust scripture and God would have failed to keep his preservational promises.
