No, you're not. You are proving you are the person you claim to be, but most of the acceptable forms of ID in Texas do not prove citizenship, just legal residence status.

D'oh! You're correct.

BUT...if you have legal residence typically that means you can vote, does it not?

My insight would be to not believe any reports until at least an hour after the polls close and actual votes have been counted.
I agree. The only poll that actually counts is when they count the ballots.

However, it may be wise to take a poll conducted by "redstatewatcher" with a grain of salt. The site name suggests more than just a bit of bias. :)

United States military identification card containing the person’s photograph. Not required to be a citizen. Just have legal residence status.

If I'm not mistaken, an Officer must be a citizen

But TC brings up a good point - other than bringing your Birth Certificate, or passport how can you prove you are a citizen
