I am generally a supporter of the emergent/emerging church so I probably can't help you with your specific question, but would be more than happy to discuss any other aspect of the emerging/emergent church you are interested in.Kay said:Can anyone specifically explain to me what is wrong with the Emergent Church? Is it just because they do not teach on Hell or what is it?
And that statement is a good nutshell definition of emergent. It makes up doctrines on the fly, shuns orthodoxy, and abhorrs confessions and/or statements of faith, preferring a fluid spirituality in which no one is held accountable to scripture in any specific manner.I would say the rate of teaching on Hell varies among individual emergent pastors and churches as it does with any topic in any group.
