detestable Bible versions. Not only are they reprehensible, but downright despicable. I could go on and describe each one as abhorrent and loathsome. But you get the idea, they are quite loathsome.

You may ask why I feel this way. Well, I don't like answering that query. That would require extra work on my part. It's fine to merely despoil them with my colorful adjectives. Do I really have to have reasons? It's easier for me to lob unfounded accusations

It is always a best practice to lower one's self into the mud with the rest. [emoji52]

Didn't y'all hear? You are allowed to say anything you want about any Bible translation now. It doesn't matter these days. The floodgates have opened. Former rules have been abrogated. It doesn't matter if you can't back anything up with facts.

For more than 16 years I have kept to the old rules. But now since terrible things have been said about a particular version and it has been allowed to stand in two posts --I feel like I should make a point.

Obviously I do not think the versions I mentioned in the header are terrible. I have used constructive criticism of all three in the past---mainly concentrating on poor grammar. All three are the Word of God --as are a multitude of other English translations. But double standards --otherwise known as hypocrisy, should not be tolerated. In other words --You are allowed to say false and malicious things about one particular translation --but don't you dare say anything similar about other translations.
