Most of this post is just flat out untrue. There is far more than a remnant. This in fact is not a God despising country. Talk about exaggeration.
Yes and for the most part we were never asked for the impositions of baby murder (January 22, 1973) and same sex marriage (June 26, 2015).

No one asked us the irredeemable deplorables who cling to our bibles and guns our opinion, no public referendum or vote, no nothing, just one day the impositions weren't, the next day they were and God's law was scorned.

Uh, where is yours? "Put your money where your mouth is" Covenanter Open up your home to a family or two of these poor people.

Let us know how it goes. Take some pictures so we can see.

No need to be personal - the problem is greater than that. I am happy to pay taxes to support such folk with emergency housing & basic medical needs including maternity care.

I do live close to the border or England - with Wales - & as there is free movement between the countries I don't meet illegal immigrants.

When we lived in an immigrant area, any illegals were already in the country. Our church included immigrants & where appropriate I supported applicants with signatures etc. My wife was involved with language teaching (ESL -English as a second language.) She soon found her pupils had problems that needed expert social workers & their personal needs meant that ESL was secondary.

I learnt to type Punjabi & Hindi script for the preparation of songs & invitations.

My former Pastor - a Pakistani Christian - has an active ministry including immigration detention centres, where he preaches the Gospel & conducts the baptism of repentant sinners. I still support his work.

I've got news for you, these people are criminals.

What law makes coming to America a crime? There is no such law. We welcome legal immigration. These people don't respect us or our laws and think they are above the law. That is not upright folk. That is criminal activity and blatant disrespect for the law. In other words, they are living in active sin by breaking the law and you defend this behavior. Shame on you.

These people are people like us who only become criminals because of restrictive laws.

The obvious problem is that conditions in their home countries are intolerable. Apart from local criminals & drug gangs, etc, sanctions imposed on the regimes affect the poor far more than the rich folk in power. Regime change wars started by the US supported by the UK & others result in devastation of cities & infrastructure. They've lost their homes & look to countries where there is peace & prosperity.

These folk are unlikely to succeed in asylum applications, so they travel in hope mixed with desperation.

True! And all we ask is that they fill out the forms for asylum at the US Embassy in their own country FIRST and WAIT for an answer!

TO THE IMMIGRANTS:
Don't set out on a thousand mile trek with your children putting them in danger of death, rape, kidnap, human slavery, human coyotes, pedophiles, wild beasts, venomous snakes, hunger, thirst, drowning, etc, etc, etc...

Sorry for being so UN-CHRISTLIKE but don't be AN IDIOT!! Fill out the forms.
Yes. Stay in your countries we've devastated by war & impoverished by sanctions.

But now you're here, we will provide you with basic accommodation, food & health care, & appropriate employment including education, so you can provide your community needs - as well as providing seasonal employment.

However, we will also liaise with the countries you have come from, to see what the problems with the intention of making conditions satisfactory.

again i bring it right down to where you live - open your personal border the front and back doors of your house to those who want to come in - by so doing you-prove yourself and the truth (or not) of what comes out of your mouth.

you chastised us, now i challenge you to prove yourself John Alden.

Laws tend to be restrictive. Not a bad thing. Neither is it a bad thing to not allow people to enter our country unchecked.
