As far as salvation the Apostle Paul says... If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. - Romans 10:9. Therefore the basics of salvation are...

1. Confess Jesus
2. Believe that he died for you

As far as these doctrinal squabblings there is simply no profit or Holy Spirit in them. In which Paul admonished Titus...

This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men. But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain. - Titus 3:8-9

I don't think it's a foolish question. Who better to ask what a Hyper-Calvinist is than a Calvinist who will discuss it?

If someone asked me about the extreme IFB, being that I'm one of them, I would be fine with discussing their characteristics.

I'm not one of the extreme ones but know lots of them.

"Ultimately, if you affirm that every aspect of salvation is accomplished entirely by Christ alone because of God’s sovereign grace alone and experienced solely through the gift of faith, you will probably at some point in your life be labeled a hyper-calvinist." - Brandan Kraft

I was hoping for a more focused definition of Hyper-Calvinism.

So are you trying to say there is no such thing as a Hyper-Calvinist?

Just asking a simple question, do Calvinists recognize Hyper-Calvinism or is the term in their opinion nonexistent?

I didn't read the article, only your highlight.

I will read it, maybe that will answer my question.

The article is basically sarcasm toward Hyper-Calvinism, so I'll take it that Hyper-Calvinism doesn't exist in the mind of a Calvinist.

I guess that it's an insult and not appreciated.

Reynolds, do you recognize Hyper- Calvinism?

If you do, what is that definition?
Hyper Calvinists go beyond the five points. Most common characteristic is do not evangelize and do not believe man has any degree of human agency.
