The American flag is a racist symbol? This should make it plain to every reader here what a few of us had indicated.

You obviously have a reading problem. But that's okay. Just go to your nearest majority black church, and ask the pastor and the congregation to explain things to you. It won't involve any more reading.

Yes or NO: Is the American flag a racist symbol?

I don't think so, but it is the official flag of the KKK.

So they've taken that symbol to make it symbolize their racist agenda, just as democrats in the 50s and 60s co-opted the rebel flag to symbolize their racist agenda.

Actually , neither is a symbol of racism unless used by the wrong people for the wrong reasons. It doesn't define either flag. Just abuses it.

Yes or No: Southern States incorporated the Rebel Flag in opposition to integration.

Yes, Democrats did. That's true. Everywhere. Not just in the south.

Now the KKK uses the American flag to symbolize their racist agenda.

No real difference.

Sure it is. The KKK ain't running a state government. They can fly whatever they want. They don't represent all the folks in a state as the government is supposed to.

Y'all are just gonna have to get over it.

Fly your racist symbols on your own property. But they are coming down off of government property.

But they are coming down off of government property.

And going up in on more private property than ever before.

We don't have to get over anything.

Grit your teeth and salute when you pass by. The confederate battle flag is flying high.

Yes, some of them did.

Yes or No: Is the American flag a flag of treason which supported racism for many decades?

Follow your own advice. You've been looking kind of foolish over that treason thing yourself. :wavey:

You need to follow somebody's advice and get a clue and stop with your little attempts to manipulate.

Try it on the old man or the conspiracy theorist or one of the ladies. i'm immune to your foolishness.

That's not treason.

A call to kill law enforcement officers is not treason? Both the old and new Panthers called for this. The old Panthers called for overthrow of the US government. The old and new Panthers display the same flag at their rallies. Sounds like treason!

For one who continually condemns this country and it's "Power structure", you are awfully sensitive to any whiff of treason against it. What could be the reason for that? Oh, I see, it is merely a device that furthers along whatever argument you are making at a given time.

Nope.

Called for what? Killing law enforcement officers? That's not treason.

The old Panthers called for overthrow of the US government.

That would be treasonous.

The old and new Panthers display the same flag at their rallies. Sounds like treason!

Then arrest them for flying a treasonous flag in the same way as those flying the treasonous, racist rebel flag need to be .

For one who continually condemns this country and it's "Power structure", you are awfully sensitive to any whiff of treason against it.

Naah. It's just clear that you don't know what qualifies as treason.

What could be the reason for that? Oh, I see, it is merely a device that furthers along whatever argument you are making at a given time.

The reason would be that you're confused as you OBVIOUSLY don't know what treason is.

Before I comply with the OP's request and close this thread, I want to make these remarks.

I will not fly or display (except as part of an historical\museum dispaly) any flag of the Confederacy, be it the national flag, the flag of the Army of Northern Virginia or other color. And here are my ressons why:

  • The flags of the CSA represent people who tried to kill my ancestors who served in the Union Army.
  • Until the 1940s, the battle flag was not used for political purposes. If you hae seen the Klan march on Washington back in the 20s the flag on display was the Stars and Stripes.
  • The Battle Flag has come to represent White Supremacy. That lie drowns out any other legitimate use.
  • There are better symbols of resistence to the centralizers of power.
I am closing this thread in three (3) hours.

You're from California, so why would you? It's not your flag.

Yes, I'm a Californian. Which, back in the day, was a Union State. However, during the ACW, my family resided north of the Ohio River. So, please see my first reason. Those who carried it into battle were shooting at my kin folk.
Why do some think the only people who got shot at in the ACW were Southerners or Texans?

You listed the misconceptions that make you not want to fly the flag.

I'm just pointing out that it's not your flag, anyway, so there's no reason for you to fly it in the first place.

Says who - Its a matter of interpretation.
We should not allow lies to make decisions.

So does that mean that anything I don't like, I should be going around saying it is a symbol of hate? and demand it be removed?
