The Hebrew-Greek Word Study Bible

At our association meeting, our DOM brought a case of the The Hebrew Greek
Word study Bible

Does anyone have copy?
What are your thoughts about it
The editor, Spiro Zodhiates, was discovered to be plagiarizing much of the Hebrew content of his The Complete Word Studies. Personally, as an author I would not use his work for that reason alone.

Zodhiates is known for his Greek expertise, but remember that he being a Greek, his expertise is in modern Greek, which sometimes does not carry over into studies of koine Greek.

One more thing. While word studies are very useful (I've done many myself), they are not so popular among scholars as they used to be. It is necessary to take sufficient care not to make some of the common errors: the etymological fallacy, using the wrong century as a source for meaning (classical Greek is from the centuries BC), etc. I don't know that Spiro makes these errors--just sayin'!

That's Spiros Zodhiates'?

Had one of those 30 years.

Great stuff.

That's pronounced Зодиатес, btw.

Yuk yuk yuk.

Zod-hi-ates is all.

Of course, if the material he was plagiarizing was accurate..... I would have no problem in using it, any more than the recent (mostly overblown) cases of Köstenberger, Peter O'Brien and others (though perhaps with a disclaimer footnote).
