The heretical book "The Shack" is now a movie

And I see Christian friends write on Facebook that they can't wait to see it and they loved the book! I think it's time to repost some good Christian reviews of the movie.

I started the book several years back when it was "the must read" for Christians. Been so long I really don't remember anything about it, BUT, I do remember that something struck me as totally inappropriate for a Christian to be reading, so it was over as far as I was concerned.
I was amazed at some of the Christians that thought the book was "absolutely wonderful"! (Maybe I should have read it ALL anyway??)
At any rate, it was so repulsive related it to scripture (IMHO) that rather than give the book away, I gave it a brand new home - in the trash!

There is a great review here by Tim Challies (I really respect him in his reviews of books - and pretty much most other things). You can see that it was further updated and he has a PDF you can download to read.

The author tells a good story but he's not so good with his theology.
Same with the DaVinci Code, a well told mystery but lousy history and theology.

I don't see The Shack working so well as a movie.
