THE KEY OF DAVID AND THE DOOR
Revelation 3.7-8, Isaiah 22.22
Perhaps the Lord GOD presented Himself here as the Ruler and King similar to David who had unchallenged and supreme power over his people, in this sense that if angel of the church in Philadelphia will obey David, how much more he should obey Jesus Christ who is the Ruler and the King of entire world!
Saying that He put before him an open door, indicated that Jesus let him know that He is not the only Ruler like David and has the Key and the full authority over him, but also and the Door for him which leads to his Father and allow for some to come in through the Door and for some shut the Door before them.

LOVE AND PUNISHMENT
Revelation 3.19
Out of His Great Love GOD punish people and reprove them, in order to discipline them, to make them better, and to save their souls for Eternal Life. GOD acts like the earthly father in this respect who disciplines his child for his bad deeds in order to make him better and keep him from trouble in the future.
Love is a Blessing and Goodness of all kinds, Love is also Justice, Discipline, and Punishment then it necessary: (Job 5.17-18) (Proverbs 3.11-12) (Hebrews 12.5-11).
I STAND AT THE DOOR AND KNOCK
Revelation 3.20
This is absolutely splendid Statement of GOD through the John the Prophet. GOD Jesus Christ knocks at the door of our soul constantly. Our soul is our Spiritual home, and we open our Spiritual home to anything we desire. But the Lord our GOD always want to enter into our Spiritual home of our spirit and dwell in it together with us, in order to guide us and to save us.
We have many different things in our Spiritual home of our soul and sometimes we have no room to accommodate GOD in our spirit, and because of it He cannot enter and dwell with us and guide us.
We have to clean our Spiritual house from useless and worthless things and make room for our GOD to enter it and be with us.
Jesus knocks not with His hand but knocks with His Word, His Statutes, and His Commandments at the door of our soul, and His voice calling you to accept His visit and let Him inside into your spirit. If we do accept His visit and love His Statutes and His Commandments that He has brought to us with Him, we will certainly open our Spiritual door for Him and let Him inside into our heart. A person who done it will be literally Born Again Spiritually and will keep the Christ in his/her soul forever and never let Him go out.
