Again, was the Church "in the dark" for some 1800 years, as Mormons hold to, and needed the Azusa revival to bring it back to correct teaching/doctrines as many in charasmatic movemnent hold as the truth?

How many times do I have to explain what happened? ... May I summarize this time?
Increasingly, man threw out the Holy Spirit because man desired to have man-controlled churches.
But, less than 2 days later, God said:
"Well, the end-times are fast approaching, and I want to bring the Spirit back into the churches!"
The Holy Spirit was always still on the earth performing some S-W-M,
but just not in da really BIG organizations, such as da totally man-controlled RCC and EOC.
But, of course, what man did (and does) with this "new thing" varies quite a bit.

Your answer to the above question was "yes, of course," along with what is posted above.
Of course William Carey who lived in the 1800's was "in the dark" even though he went to India, suffered, labored, and translated the Bible and/or parts of it into over 40 different languages. He never claimed to have any of the supernatural gifts of the Spirit. His work came by hard work, by the study of original languages and by study of the Indian languages.
In comparison, what have you done for the Lord.
Adoniram Judson met Carey. He was the first American missionary, or did you know that? He was sent out by the Congregational Church, originally. He could read Greek fluently. One day, as they were crossing the Atlantic, he was reading his Greek NT, and became convinced that baptism was by immersion (after all that is what the word means). He wrote back to his supporting Congregational church of his new found conviction, and that he had become a Baptist. Naturally he lost all his support.
When he met Carey he found that he was not allowed to stay in India to work with him. The Lord led him to Burma. It was seven years before he saw his first convert. He languished in the prisons of Burma for much of the time that he was there. And yet he was the first one to translate the Bible into the Burmese language, write a Burmese dictionary, and a Burmese grammar. He endeared himself to the Karen tribe, where he had great success as an evangelist.
What have you done for the Lord in the light of these men who suffered so much for the Lord, and did such great things for the Lord--having also lived before the twentieth century--during those "dark ages" when you say God didn't work!

WHY would Satan perform S-W-M ...
to CONFIRM the Truth of the true simple Scriptural gospel ... while an evangelist is preaching it?
News Flash! ...
The "doctrines of demons" you refer to have been believed and preached for 1900 years
by the man-controlled churches who have NOT wished to be controlled by God's Spirit!
Satan much preferred that church leaders run everything themselves!
Church leaders have much preferred to run everything themselves!
Satan + free-will man = one tough opposition to Almighty God
