There is no wrong readings in King James.
You don't know anything of the sort.
Most Bibles have wrong reading for Exodus 12:40. And neither does the KJB, Now the sojourning of the children of Israel, who dwelt in Egypt, was four hundred and thirty years.
The Apostle Paul explained why in Galatians 3:16-17, Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ. And this I say, that the covenant, that was confirmed before of God in Christ, the law, which was four hundred and thirty years after, cannot disannul, that it should make the promise of none effect.

The 430 years being from Abraham to the giving of the Law.

MLV, Exodus,12:40, Now the time that the sons of Israel dwelt in the land of Egypt and the land of Canaan was four hundred and thirty years.

Okay, looked this up, explaination found is Genesis 46 is when God confirmed the convent with Jacob/Israel.
The 430 years was from God's promise to Abraham, Galatians 3:16-17, Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ. And this I say, that the covenant, that was confirmed before of God in Christ, the law, which was four hundred and thirty years after, cannot disannul, that it should make the promise of none effect
