Hey Jarthur, the suspense is killing me! What verse are you referring to?
I think all would agree that Matt. 24:15-20 is talking about a time frame past Pentecost. So even if you are no covenant you would have to agree this is talking about after the church age has began.

20 But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day:

In verse 20 our Lord makes a distinction of a time frame. There are reasons for this, which we can look at later. But I see the principle here as clear. What was set from the beginning of creation, carries to the end of time. A set apart time from all other times.

So...

I agree with you when you said...

It is a principle of life for all men.

However...not to pick on your words, because many say this, but I feel it is wrong to say simply this...
For the believer in Christ, every day is the Sabbath

.......and use this TRUTH in a way that says we should not set apart a time for worship. Is it required for salvation? No not at all.
Nor is the Lords Table required for salvation. So why do we practice the Lords Table?

The Lords table is kept by all Baptist churches.

Well...just as the Lords Table is ordained by our Lord, He also ordained a Sabbath (set apart time for rest and worship) talking about it in the future.

I feel it is clear we need to kept this, not just act as if it matters not.

Thanks for clarifying, Jarthur, That really opens up a discussion that is outside the topic of this thread. For the purpose of this thread, I'll just say I think you are reading an awful lot into that statement, IMHO. But, I digress.

I agree with you, however the "sabbath" we keep is not the same "sabbath" kept by the Jews,

Let me explain.

Le 23:10 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye be come into the land which I give unto you, and shall reap the harvest thereof, then ye shall bring a sheaf of the firstfruits of your harvest unto the priest:

11 And he shall wave the sheaf before the LORD, to be accepted for you: on the morrow after the sabbath the priest shall wave it. (8th day)

Le 23:39 Also in the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when ye have gathered in the fruit of the land, ye shall keep a feast unto the LORD seven days: on the first day shall be a sabbath, and on the eighth day shall be a sabbath.

When these two "sabbath" (7th & 8th day) fell back to back, it was called a "high day".

Joh 19:31 The Jews therefore, because it was the preparation, that the bodies should not remain upon the cross on the sabbath day, (for that sabbath day was an high day,) besought Pilate that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken away.

Jesus being the "sheaf of wheat" and "Firstfruit" was "Resurrected" on the "8th day", (first day of the week) and according to the OT, the 8th day was consider as a "Sabbath",

This of course is our "SUNDAY".

Indeed you are right.

There is even good reason for this. The old Sabbath being linked to creation was misconceived by the Jews in its the use and real meaning. They had the Sabbath in rule over man. But the Lord of the Sabbath said it was made for man. So our Lord under the new creation rescued the Sabbath to make the new Sabbath.

Our Lord didn't repeal nor annul the Sabbath, he only stripped it from its burdens made by man.

Its clear that God knew many would forget this truth and has said.."Remember" to keep it holy

13If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of the LORD, honourable; and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words:

14Then shalt thou delight thyself in the LORD; and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.
