Finished rereading a book I first read about fifteen years ago, The Law of the Offerings by Andrew Jukes. It is very enlightening and eminently Scriptural. I thought a discussion on the offerings and their spiritual significance would be interesting.
The five primary tabernacle offerings:
The Sweet Savour Offerings: Burned on the Altar of Burnt Offering. Not offered for sin. This is man in righteousness offering an acceptable sacrifice to God.

- Burnt Offering. The offering of a life. Man's duty to God. Corresponds to 1st Table of the Decalogue.
- Meat (Meal) Offering. the offering of fruits. Man's duty to man. Corresponds to the Second Table.
- Peace Offering. Consequences of the Burnt and Meat offerings. Man and God are both satisfied.
- Sin Offering. The sinner is the primary focus, not the particular trespass. This is an offering for sin, the sin nature.
- Trespass Offering. The particular violation is the focus, not the sinner. Damages are assessed and restitution is made.
