It amazes me that we are brought to believe angels look like lingerie models.
I believe they most likely look like the old days grandma’s
Wow. I've never been told that angels look like lingerie models. Who told you that? Or what wild stuff are you watching?

They don't look like grandma's either. Read Ezekiel and other places to get a description of angels.

By-the-by, angels appeared to people in the Bible in the form of men. But that was not their true form.

Most Christian art of angels has the “angelic “ faced young lady . Too much of the art is revealing. None of my girlfriends look like that.and of course they should all be women of color .

I don't give a hoot what color your girlfriends are, but ??? how many do you have? And why are you looking at inappropriate images?
Some times I did think renaissance art was inappropriate. That one class teacher was fired for bringing the kids to a museum. Girl friends were in the 70’s married 48 years. I believe this religion started in the Middle East people of color.

I change color based on the time of the year. What has that to do with “religion?”

I am not sure that there are colorless people. I can't imagine how that would look on a person. A type of skin that neither absorbs or reflects light...like air. But not invisible (not so you would see muscles and stuff).

I am also not sure which people were made in the image of early humans.

Do you believe it is equally inappropriate for people to paint Jesus as a black man?

I do not view either as inappropriate. People depict angles, Jesus, the phrophets, etc. in a way that they can identify with. I do not believe anybody considers those images accurate representations of how people looked.

How did angles appear? Sometimes in powerful ways. Sometimes as one you may entertain unaware they were angles.

What physical feature woukd Jesus have. They would be Semitic features. Not a black man, not a white man. Given the history of duvisions, I kinda like that fact.

Imagine is important . It leads to misinformed biases.

It can, if one does not realize that their understanding- how they picture things in their minds - is how human beings process information.

For example, you imagine angles looking "like the old days grandma’s". But how did they actually look? Sometimes they looked like men. Sometimes they looked indescribable (a mix of features nothing like men). They are never described as looking feminine.

The important takeaway is that they are never described "like old days grandma's". There is a reason you imagine that comparison, and while not correct in terms of actual descriptions the way you imagine them may express a truth. Your imagination is how you identify with that truth.

What kind of people are colorless is clear. ;)
