Psalms 2:1 Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?

2:2 The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying,

2:3 Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.

2:4 He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the LORD shall have them in derision.

2:5 Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure.

2:6 Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion.

I remember growing up that there was a picture called Laughing Jesus and I never thought of it but just recently, that God laughs. Which shouldn't surprise us as it is a human emotion. How many times in scripture did Jesus rejoice and in holy laughter praise the Father... I would say numerous times... In the Old Testament how many saints were filled with joy and laughter of a coming redeemer. The verses in Psalms to me shows that the God of heaven laughs at the devices of men thinking they could stop the Salvation of Gods children by the sacrifice of his Son The Lord and Savior Jesus Christ... We know from other places they failed and in Psalms even before Jesus The God Man was born according to prophesy... NO MAN can alter the Salvation Of Gods children as God intended... God WILL always have his say and his way... No matter what!... Satan knows his and his kind days are numbered and GOD WILL HAVE THE LAST LAUGH!... Brother Glen
