The Mark of the Beast Imminent?

Is the mark of the beast imminent?

Governor of California Jerry Brown recently declared that religion is needed to help solve the problems of climate change.

VATICAN CITY – California Gov. Jerry Brown says dealing with climate change will take not just scientific but religious commitment.
Brown spoke Saturday at a Vatican symposium on the environment, where he said faith must join technical, scientific and political approaches to limiting environmental devastation.

It was recently declared that the mark of the beast is needed to aid the fight against communism.

After Polish Catholics lined the country’s 2,000-mile border to pray the “Rosary to the Borders,” ... Poland’s Sejm (lower house of Poland’s parliament) voted last week to phase out shopping on Sundays by 2020. The idea behind the bill is to allow Poles to spend more time with their families and less time shopping on Sundays. ... The Communist ideology behind Sunday volunteer labor was Labor omnia vincit—never-ending work conquered all things—including thinking of and keeping the Lord’s Day Holy. Communists wanted to annihilate God by annihilating Sabbath; annihilate Christianity by annihilating the Day of the Lord—this was part and parcel of the Communist Party ideology. ... Poles know communism and Communist persecution first-hand. They do not want to return to what they have already suffered—restless and irreverent Sundays of the Communist past. Keeping Holy the Lord’s Day is keeping the faith and continuing the tradition. ... Poland is showing Europe the way, and this begins with keeping the Lord’s Day Holy and not shopping on Sundays.

With that said, what do you think? Does it appear that the signs are indeed pointing towards the soon enforcement of the mark of the beast?

SDA teaching is considered to be cult teaching and is mostly rejected. There is no investigative judgment.....not in the bible anyway. No one really had a vision of the 4th commandment circled....:Cautious:Cautious:Cautious

Yes, I know Seventh Day Adventists are considered cult-like theology. However, I am not a Seventh-Day Adventist. With that said, I do keep the Sabbath and believe Sunday Laws will come. But, as towards this post, do you think that Sunday Laws are near? And if not, why are they doing those things they are doing in the video? A literal conference themed "A Sabbath for the Earth and the Poor: The Challenge of Pope Francis", what's up with that? Why would they do that?

Hello TTA,
Keeping the Lords Day is already spoken of in scripture;

Chapter 22: Of Religious Worship and the Sabbath Day
1._____ The light of nature shews that there is a God, who hath lordship and sovereignty over all; is just, good and doth good unto all; and is therefore to be feared, loved, praised, called upon, trusted in, and served, with all the heart and all the soul, and with all the might. But the acceptable way of worshipping the true God, is instituted by himself, and so limited by his own revealed will, that he may not be worshipped according to the imagination and devices of men, nor the suggestions of Satan, under any visible representations, or any other way not prescribed in the Holy Scriptures.
( Jeremiah 10:7; Mark 12:33; Deuteronomy 12:32; Exodus 20:4-6 )
2._____ Religious worship is to be given to God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and to him alone; not to angels, saints, or any other creatures; and since the fall, not without a mediator, nor in the mediation of any other but Christ alone.
( Matthew 4:9, 10; John 6:23; Matthew 28:19; Romans 1:25; Colossians 2:18; Revelation 19:10; John 14:6; 1 Timothy 2:5 )

3._____ Prayer, with thanksgiving, being one part of natural worship, is by God required of all men. But that it may be accepted, it is to be made in the name of the Son, by the help of the Spirit, according to his will; with understanding, reverence, humility, fervency, faith, love, and perseverance; and when with others, in a known tongue.
( Psalms 95:1-7; Psalms 65:2; John 14:13, 14; Romans 8:26; 1 John 5:14; 1 Corinthians 14:16, 17 )

4._____ Prayer is to be made for things lawful, and for all sorts of men living, or that shall live hereafter; but not for the dead, nor for those of whom it may be known that they have sinned the sin unto death.
( 1 Timothy 2:1, 2; 2 Samuel 7:29; 2 Samuel 12:21-23; 1 John 5:16 )

5._____ The reading of the Scriptures, preaching, and hearing the Word of God, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, singing with grace in our hearts to the Lord; as also the administration of baptism, and the Lord's supper, are all parts of religious worship of God, to be performed in obedience to him, with understanding, faith, reverence, and godly fear; moreover, solemn humiliation, with fastings, and thanksgivings, upon special occasions, ought to be used in an holy and religious manner.
( 1 Timothy 4:13; 2 Timothy 4:2; Luke 8:18; Colossians 3:16; Ephesians 5:19; Matthew 28:19, 20; 1 Corinthians 11:26; Esther 4:16; Joel 2:12; Exodus 15:1-19, Psalms 107 )

6._____ Neither prayer nor any other part of religious worship, is now under the gospel, tied unto, or made more acceptable by any place in which it is performed, or towards which it is directed; but God is to be worshipped everywhere in spirit and in truth; as in private families daily, and in secret each one by himself; so more solemnly in the public assemblies, which are not carelessly nor wilfully to be neglected or forsaken, when God by his word or providence calleth thereunto.
( John 4:21; Malachi 1:11; 1 Timothy 2:8; Acts 10:2; Matthew 6:11; Psalms 55:17; Matthew 6:6; Hebrews 10:25; Acts 2:42 )

7._____ As it is the law of nature, that in general a proportion of time, by God's appointment, be set apart for the worship of God, so by his Word, in a positive moral, and perpetual commandment, binding all men, in all ages, he hath particularly appointed one day in seven for a sabbath to be kept holy unto him, which from the beginning of the world to the resurrection of Christ was the last day of the week, and from the resurrection of Christ was changed into the first day of the week, which is called the Lord's day: and is to be continued to the end of the world as the Christian Sabbath, the observation of the last day of the week being abolished.
( Exodus 20:8; 1 Corinthians 16:1, 2; Acts 20:7; Revelation 1:10 )

8._____ The sabbath is then kept holy unto the Lord, when men, after a due preparing of their hearts, and ordering their common affairs aforehand, do not only observe an holy rest all day, from their own works, words and thoughts, about their worldly employment and recreations, but are also taken up the whole time in the public and private exercises of his worship, and in the duties of necessity and mercy.
( Isaiah 58:13; Nehemiah 13:15-22; Matthew 12:1-13 )

Thanks for your answer! In point 7, it points to three verses about the first day of the week, 1 Corinthians 16:1-2, and Acts 20:7. Acts 20:7 shows Paul preaching on the first day of the week, past midnight, until the break of day. Is this the example we as Christians are to follow? If not, why was this suggested? There are far more examples of Paul preaching on the sabbath, then on the first day of the week.

1 Corinthians 16:1-2 indicates a gathering together of funds for the poor saints in Jerusalem. What about this makes this a Sabbath gathering? This also is only a one time gathering, so that when Paul comes there is no gathering. What about this makes this the Sabbath.

Also, another question! Why was there a meeting themed "A Sabbath for the Earth and the Poor: The Challenge of Pope Francis", if they are not looking for a world Sabbath law?

Yes,,,the unsaved jews still were trying to observe the OT."form" of worship which was vanishing away...so He went to them with the truth of the NT.Gospel reality of the KINGDOM....

It wasn't just Jews who came together though to hear the preaching. As a matter of fact, Paul did not correct the Gentiles that asked to be preached to on the next Sabbath, but instead, Paul preached to them on that day as well.

Acts 13:42 And when the Jews were gone out of the synagogue, the Gentiles besought that these words might be preached to them the next sabbath.

As for paying attention to the Pope, people watch him thinking he's fulfilling some other position other than antichrist. Why would we not pay attention to this movement of the Pope, if he is someone to be watched?

Do you hold that keeping Sunday will be the mark of the Beast, and thus force one to be lost again, as SDA does?

Yes, of course. If anyone accepts the mark of the beast, they are lost.

Revelation 14:9-11 And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, 10 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: 11 And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.

NO true Christian will accept that mark, as it will NOT be what day to worship, but to worship and accept Antichrist as their Lord, and not Jesus!

What makes you think that it has nothing to do with the day we worship (I assume you mean as towards Sabbath, because God is worshiped everyday), when the Bible tells us what day to keep holy?

Hi Everyone!

I hope this is helpful for anyone who just wants to look at a shortened version of this video. I still encourage you to watch the whole thing, but here is a shortened one, less than 4 minutes.

he gave Sabbath just to Israel, as the Church worships on the Resurrection day as the Lords day!

Updated. Better, IMO.

Then why do we see the church observing the Sabbath (even Gentiles), and being told to observe the 7th Day in the book of Hebrews?

Acts 13:42 And when the Jews were gone out of the synagogue, the Gentiles besought that these words might be preached to them the next sabbath.

Acts was a transition book, as the Apostles, following Jesus, preached to the Jews first, but later on moved to the Gentiles. Also, Hebrews stated that we now have a true Sabbath day rest, which is not Saturday, but found in Jesus Himself!

Can you explain this argument to me? How does Hebrews 4 say Jesus gives us rest?
