The 1000 Years (20):
In the Bible,
Ten is the number of Completeness,
Three is the number of the Trinity,
and one thousand is the number of Magnitude.
Therefore, the number 1000 tells The Lord's churches and people two things about the Era of Gospel Proclamation, from Jesus' First Advent and Ministry on Earth, until Jesus' Second Advent, when He Returns to Earth, for the second time, at The End of The World.
First, the "one thousand years" will be a long period, a much longer period of time than most of the saints expect.
But secondly, it also will be a Fruitful period.
10 x 10 x 10 = 1000.
So this number tells The Lord's churches and people that during the Era of Gospel Proclamation the Trinity (3) will complete (10) the application of the Redemption that her Lord purchased for her during His days upon the earth; it is a Divine Promise of the Spiritual Fruitfulness of the evangelizing churches of The Lord. So, the "one thousand years", symbolizes an extended, seemingly endless, BUT FINITE, LONG MAGNITUDE, period of time.
Our present New Testament Era of Gospel Proclamation, which we call The Church Age, from Jesus' First Advent and Ministry on Earth, until Jesus' Second Advent, when He Returns to Earth, for the second time, at The End of The World, has now lasted over 2000 literal years, the saints understand that this is, as God has us to understand, from Revelation 20, is an extended, seemingly endless, BUT FINITE, LONG MAGNITUDE, period of Redemptive Fruitfulness.
...
For example, as we can see from The Old Testament, Biblically speaking, Moses, in one of his final messages to the children of Israel, asks God to Bless the people and make the nation 1000 times bigger than they were!
"May the Lord, the God of your fathers, make you a thousand times more than you are, and Bless you as He has Promised you!" (Deuteronomy 1:11, HBFV).
In other words, "May the Lord...make you a thousand times", or an extended, seemingly endless, BUT FINITE, Magnitude, "more than you are..."
...
Again, Moses also reminded the people that God's Blessings and Mercy are guaranteed, to a thousand generations, toward those who love and obey Him. This wonderful promise is partly repeated in Psalm 105:8.
"Therefore, know that the Lord your God, He is God, the Faithful God Who keeps Covenant and Mercy with them that love Him and keep His Commandments, to a thousand generations" (Deuteronomy 7:9, HBFV).
In other words, "God Who keeps Covenant and Mercy with them that love Him and keep His Commandments, to a thousand generations", or to an extended, seemingly endless, BUT FINITE, Magnitude.
...
Also, in The Old Testament, we find God Promises, to those who do His Will, that they will be Divinely Protected. One person will be able to chase away one thousand while countless others who attack will fall and cause them no harm.
"One thousand shall flee at the rebuke of one; at the rebuke of five shall ye flee: till ye be left as a beacon upon the top of a mountain, and as an ensign on an hill" (Isaiah 30:17, KJV, see also Joshua 23:10 and Psalm 91:7).
In other words, "One thousand", or to an extended, seemingly endless, BUT FINITE, Magnitude, "shall flee at the rebuke of one;..."
...
Then, we also see, in The Old Testament, when Abimelech, based on a lie that both Sarah and Abraham told (in Genesis 20:1-5), made Abimelech believe that Sarah was Abraham's sister and therefore took her for himself. After God informed him in a dream regarding the truth of their relationship, he summoned Abraham. After chastising him for lying, God gave Abraham cattle, servants and 1000 pieces of silver (verses 14-16).
16 "And unto Sarah he said, Behold, I have given thy brother a thousand pieces of
silver: behold, he is to thee a covering of the eyes, unto all that are with thee,
and with all other: thus she was reproved."
In other words, "Behold, I have given thy brother a thousand pieces", or an "extended, seemingly endless, BUT FINITE, Magnitude", "of silver: behold, he is to thee a covering of the eyes, unto all that are with thee, and with all other: thus she was reproved."
I'm not trying to be some kind of special hero, or think that I can force-feed another believer into adopting my position, on the "one thousand years", in Revelation 20, I am saying that this teaching on each of those six, "one thousand years", we read there, are just straightforward, rudimentary, Divine Biblical Interpretations of that number, "one thousand", as we've seen it used several times in The Old Testament, where God used "one thousand", to represent anything He wanted to indicate as possessing, "an extended, seemingly endless, BUT FINITE, Magnitude".
