Moses' grandfather Kohath was one of the 70 that went with Jacob into Egypt. As I understand iot Moses was was 80 at the time of Exodus, so that fits in well with 230 years in Egypt.

On the premise that Israel was 400 years in Egypt, how may actual years was it between the promise to Abraham, given age 75, Genesis 12:1-7, to the giving of the Law, Exodus 12:40, Galatians 3:17? Please.
