The Nature of the Spirit Questions

If the Holy Spirit is not God then what is it? A separate entity like an angel or Lucifer?

This is the crux of the matter, I look to the scripture for clear revelation in that matter and to the Spirit which imparts understanding.

We are told there is a human spirit
God is spirit
The angels and other spiritual beings are spirit
there are familiar spirits
evil spirits

The spirit brings life and many other references to the spirit

What problems do you have with the very clear passage from Acts chapter 5, verses 3-4? It is evident that the Holy Spirit is here referred to as God

Is the Holy Spirit God or is the Spirit of God? There is a very real difference. So this scripture doesn't make it evident to me.

The Holy Spirit in the OT was called Yahweh, God!

He is Deity, as he is said to be also Creator, Has all knowledge and is everywhere!
John Chapter 14, Jesus made it very clear that the Spirit is just like Him, as is also God, but is a separate Person from Jesus!

Peter calling Him God in Acts should!

Acts 5:3 But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land?
Acts 5:4 Whiles it remained, was it not thine own? and after it was sold, was it not in thine own power? why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart? thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God.

I see the linkage that you are referring to. I trust that this is clear evidence to you. It doesn't really tell me that the Holy Spirit is God or the Spirit of God. God will make it clear in his own time.

The nature of the Holy Spirit whether of God or is God, doesn't change the clear evidence that we need the Holy Spirit and that without it we cannot be saved. The Holy Spirit gives us spirit filled life (it is a quickening Spirit) and through this Spirit we have understanding. With the Spirit in us we are made new, a new creation that God will and does guide on the narrow path leading to his Kingdom and eternal life.

These are all very clear scriptures. We are to worship God in the spirit and in truth. We have been born new to lead a spiritual life filled with the Holy Spirit. We are also told that God will dwell in us and we in God.

What they don't make clear to me is that the Holy Spirit is God. Many others have the clarity they need I trust that God through his Holy Spirit has given this understanding. I have examined myself and know that God is working in me, for some reason the Spirit has not given me the same clarity yet, that others have. I will always trust God because I know that he is more than able to accomplish his will and desire.

Am I less Christian because I honestly speak from my heart my lack of clarity? It is God who reveals the truth through his Spirit and God has not revealed it yet to me in this matter.

He has revealed it in scripture. You and I are not prophets of God that God would directly communicate with us. God speaks in His word and we receive it by faith.
If you want direct revelation then you are not wanting to live by faith. You are not less of a Christian, but you may be less than faithful in this regard. When a brother or sister cites scripture that clearly expresses God the Holy Spirit and you reject it, saying "there is not enough evidence", you are expressing the same lack of faith as Thomas the disciple.

It looks like Charles does not understand this great truth about the Holy Spirit and needs prayer for the Lord to open his eyes

You are describing HIM the same way that a JW or Mormon would here!

if we are truly seeking to know the Truth about God and His Word, then God will reveal these Truths to our hearts and minds. But we must be serious and not have closed minds to learn
