The New International Version is not, a Translation

The writers of the NIV were made up of Covenant theologians and their bias is clear in versus concerning Israel which is why they injected their preconceived philosophical prejudice into the text.

Most leading scholars have said the NIV is a paraphrase like Ryrie.
Well, if they didn't strive to take away from the divinity of Christ it could sneak by, but that's not the case as we see the evidence...

'By changing "God" to "He" they remove the fact that Jesus is God. This is done in the NASV also.
1 Timothy 3:16 (KJV) And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

1 Timothy 3:16 (NIV) Beyond all question, the mystery of godliness is great: He appeared in a body, was vindicated by the Spirit, was seen by angels, was preached among the nations, was believed on in the world, was taken up in glory.

By changing "Christ" to "God" they deny that Jesus is God.
Romans 14:10 (KJV) But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ. Romans 14:12 (KJV) So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.

Romans 14:10 (NIV) You, then, why do you judge your brother? Or why do you look down on your brother? For we will all stand before God's judgment seat. Romans 14:12 (NIV) So then, each of us will give an account of himself to God.

Jesus is eternal, He did not have an origin.
Micah 5:2 (KJV) But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting.

Micah 5:2 (NIV) "But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are small among the clans of Judah, out of you will come for me one who will be ruler over Israel, whose origins are from of old, from ancient times."

Again, Jesus is eternal, He is the beginning and ending.
Revelation 1:8 (KJV) I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.

Revelation 1:8 (NIV) "I am the Alpha and the Omega," says the Lord God, "who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty."

I know of no reputable scholars who call it that, but do see it as being either a DE or else a mediating version!

Charles Ryrie who was the protégé of Schafer who was the protégé of Schofield said that it is.

Here, the evidence of the translation committee showing a doctrinal bias in support of their belief in replacement theology.

“Peace and mercy to all who follow this rule—to the Israel of God.”
‭‭Galatians‬ ‭6:16‬ ‭NIV‬‬

“And as many as shall walk by this rule, peace be upon them, and mercy, and upon the Israel of God.”
‭‭Galatians‬ ‭6:16‬ ‭ASV‬‬

“And as many as walk according to this rule, peace be on them, and mercy, and upon the Israel of God.”
‭‭Galatians‬ ‭6:16‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Actually, both the Niv and Nasb support the deity of Jesus even more so then the Kjv does!

Two groups of believers mentioned. And the context of the book has to do with how believers are to now live in the absence of the law of Moses. Gentiles do not need circumcisions, peace be upon them, and upon the Jewish believers, the Israel of God.
