Yup:
I like that statue a lot. It's obviously a devil with it's devil horns and evil flappy octopus arms, and it's wearing Buzzy Ginsberg's stupid doily around its neck. They're finally admitting she/it was a minion of Satan put here to do Satan's work, and commemorating her evil deeds with a giant golden idol in her/it's honor.
I also like it because it lets me know exactly where I stand: far, far away from this statue and everything it represents, and far away from the people who funded it, created it, okayed it, installed it, etc. I know, by looking at this Oscar to Infanticide, that my cause is just and righteous and that my opponents are agents of evil - and they aren't pretending anymore.
The mask isn't slipping off, it's on the floor and the enemy isn't even trying to hard too pick up that mask and put it back on. This statue makes a statement, loud and clear. "We are evil people, corrupted and in league with the devil and we worship our greater demons without shame."
To me this sick statue in this perverted form is so much better than putting up a perfect gilded replica of that shriveled up old hagberg, unrealistically standing tall and alert welding something cliche like a gavel and a shield, basically pretending that she/it was a real human.
Hooray for this statue. I can't wait to see it torn down and melted into slag someday.
