The translators need to do much more than the slowly incremental touch ups they've been engaged in since the ESV was rushed onto the scene. Micro steps need to be abandoned; a major revamp is necessary. But to do that, its major proponents would have to admit that their main talking points for the last two decades were bogus. That's a mighty bitter pill for them to swallow. They are between a rock and a hard place.I think it's time for another revised edition of the ESV.

Perhaps the "worm" was unsuccessful in his bid for public office?
Or the worm was elected from before the foundation of the world.
