The Obama era is done

"The Obama era is done. It's gone. It's over. It was wiped from the pages of history in one night that left Congress and the White House in Republican hands.

It would have been bad enough if Jeb Bush had succeeded Obama. That would have been inconvenient, but not a repudiation. Instead Obama's legacy was dashed to pieces. His frantic efforts to campaign for Hillary did no good. The public did not vocally reject him. What they did was even worse. They brushed past him. They sidelined him. They gave him passable approval ratings while dismissing his biggest accomplishments. They forgot him. They made it clear that he did not matter.

And that is in its own way far more brutal and wounding. They didn't just destroy the Obama era. Instead they dismissed it as if it never existed."

And yet there is that pesky Popular Vote...

And? What single country made up the majority of the popular vote? What other inner city areas made up the rest. Good thing we have the electoral college.

And here I was thinking that popular vote meant the vote by the population, not areas.

And I do not understand what you mean by "single country".

Which matters not at all.

Oh, I forgot... Trump won by a landslide. :Laugh

Seriously though, had Greenfield been right about the level of rejection, Trump would have won the popular as well as the electoral vote.

I meant state, maybe you should research just where the Clinton votes were at.

Nice snark. I cannot read minds, so I must rely on what is written.

And I do know where most of her votes came from. Does not matter what the breakdown by location is when one refers to the popular vote as a whole.

Yea it does matter when the so called popular vote is isolated to a few specific areas. And it wasn't a "snark".

Americans are Americans. The popular vote is the vote cast by the American voting population.

The state of California and the inner cities all run far left. The people are all concentrated in small areas. They are also delusional.

No disagreement with you, but they still make up part of the American popular vote.

actually it is the cities of LA, SF, SD, that are liberal -

Same here in NY. The City, Buffalo, Syr, and Rochester all went for Clinton - the other 50+ counties went Trump - but with NY city half of the State population.......

The Obama era? More like the Obama errors and high crimes.

There need to be some executions for treason. On a side note, capital punishment needs to be brought back for the general population. And it justice must be speedily carried out.
