Well, a Christian voting for Romney needs to be enlightened. There is no power to allow a President to nullify the power of the Supreme Court, or the Congress. You seem to have a big problem with equating people who vote their conscience as voting for Obama. Nothing could be further from the truth. What is the price of a soul? Being a Republican apologist?
Oh and by the way, Romney care was fashioned years before Obama care. When Romney was running for Senate against Ted Kennedy, they tried to out abortion each other in the debate. You said he is a "decent and honorable" man. How do you come to that conclusion? Is it his u-turn on right to life, pro gay rights, gun control, or government run health insurance?
If you think a Supreme Court or Congress cannot stop an imperial Presidency, read the history of Nixon's last two months in office.
First of all, I am not a Republican apologist, as I stated in another thread, in 2004 I voted for Michael Peroutka of the CP and attended the CP rally in Nashville. Still have the Peroutka yard sign in my garage (it's for sale to the highest bidder for a keepsake, BTW, and also have an unopened CD with Michael Peroutka's speech, it's for sale, too).
Secondly, this president has already stacked the supremes, so that check and balance is out (and remember, he had the little 4-hour "secret meeting" with all SCOTUS justices except Alito before he was sworn in - probably something to do about him not being eligible to be POTUS, is my guess: http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-503544_162-4722284-503544.html - checkthis out: http://goodsensepolitics.blogspot.com/2009/01/obamas-secret-meeting-with-supreme.html ) - and apparently, John McCain knew about Dems stuffing the ballot box in 2008 and never pursued voter fraud, so apparently many in Congress know and so that check and balance is out.
And, yes, I believe Mr. Romney when he says he more or less saw the light about abortion. He has explained his position on the other issues, too, but apparently you haven't heard them because your mind is already made up. Well, vote your conscience. I have and will, as well. I briefly listened to Mr. Goode the other night on C-Span. It's a throwaway vote at a crucial time for our nation. When I threw my vote away in 2004, it was a protest vote against Bush, but the socialists hadn't pervaded every nook and cranny of our government 8 years ago like they have now. The soul of America and her existence is at stake this go around.
