You want literal physical evidence of the sun and moon ceasing to shine and stars falling to the planet earth? Surely you jest. FYI, we'd all be dead if that had occurred. If, on the other hand, you wish to delve into the hyperbolic, metaphorical intent of the passages pertaining to judgements upon various nation and kingdoms, there's plenty of history that affirms those judgements.

Actually they are called angels in the Olivet Discourse. John uses symbolism, ie the stars. Of course John was not an evolutionist, so the stars would be the angels. That is their day job.

The Greek term literally means points of light. That messengers are meant is unfounded conjecture.
