Donald Trump will bring the optimism. If he is elected, there will be so much optimism, we’ll be praying for some pessimism. Here is Business Insider’s Josh Barro on why conservatives are losing to Trump when it comes to optimism:

What Trump’s opponents need to do is not scold Trump for lack of optimism, but instead figure out how to make their own optimism credible to voters.

There ya go, Ted.

At least the article is honest--Trump is telling us a fantastical story.
----------
From the article:

Trump is pulling off the same trick in the 2016. He is telling not just an optimistic story, but a nostalgic one — even if the facts often make it a fantastical one.

To respond to Trumpian populism, conservatives need to tell their own story — a realistic story about the future, about technological change, about what America can be, and about how to help make it work for all Americans by creatively applying timeless principles to modern challenges.

Get used to Hillary as President--Trump cannot defeat Hillary in debate--Trump already ran away from the last scheduled GOP debate because M. Kelly asked him about his fraudulent university and how he "donated" his way out of legal problems. Trump has too many negatives, too much baggage.

He has no need to debate other Republican candidates. But don't think he doesn't know that other debates are coming that he can't opt out of.

Hollering "Chicken!" is just schoolyard taunting.

If Trump is the GOP candidate, I would describe Hillary as the 45th President of the United States.

Lol, and how would you describe Hillary?

Hillary has a lot going for her. She is a female but not feminine. She has her own server already. Her husband knows his way around the Oval Office. She has 80 million dollars so she won't have to steal White House furnishings anymore. She will stop climate change by doing away with the use of coal in the USA. She will investigate the FBI and may put them under the IRS. She already has a plan for health care from 25 years ago. She is brilliant in cattle futures. She made Libya what it is today. She is cool, calm and collected under rifle fire....

I do not see optimism from Trump.

I don't either--Trump cancelled his appearance at the last scheduled GOP debate for fear of being asked more questions about his fraudulent Trump University. Trump will be a disaster in debate against Hillary (Bill). You cannot win the Presidency with 35% of the GOP. His previous ownership of a strip club and casinos will not help him.

I just want you to know that I refuse to tell you I told you so. I think it would be rude and unkind. Its just not in me to do it. :Biggrin
I was wrong about this outcome of this election. I hope folks here realize that I support most of what Trump espoused, I just couldn't stomach him personally. I think you totally get that.

People that have withstood my nay-saying about Trump have good reason to gloat. I can take some "I told you so's". I deserve them.

I couldn't stomach some of his personal sins either brother. But I had to look past the condition of a soul in a lost state and focus on the issues. This left wing looney agenda had to be slapped in the face. Now I pray Trump works very hard to keep all of his promises. He is not a normal politician who generally lies to get elected and then does his own thing. I believe it will be personal with him, he will want to prove himself to do what he says he is going to do.

I wonder if Hillary's speech will be about bringing the country together behind Trump or if she will be like her husband and make it all about herself.
