I've heard stories like this before. It sickens me. If a Dr. found someone suffering on the side of the road they would help them but if someone comes into their office on their own free will they only get treatment if they can afford it. That's messed up.Originally posted by followinghim:

This really shocked me. How can anyone turn away a fellow human being who is suffering like that? It is beyond my comprehension.

Maybe there is some hope for that lady's husband after all. I would like to think so.My daughter, a doctor in Florida, says that no one can be refused at any hospital in the USA. It is illegal, regardless of insurance.
