Well hello!

I have been checking in everyday, but get confused as to whether I have already posted wot I have to say somewhere....I just might be getting up there now.

It has been jolly cold here the past few days and wet. Dropped to -5 the other night. If it continues, we shall be shovelling snow anytime now...well, wife owns the snow shovel, I have the manly putt-putt snowblower.

On sleep, it seems 3 hours is about as much as I can take at once, but do it more often. I am always up around 4:AM.

Cheers,

Jim

Jim

I can sleep til about 2 am and then maybe doze some but am mostly awake til it is daylight and then I can sleep for another hour or so if allowed to.(Leo will generally wake me). I can also sleep for maybe an hour or so in the afternoon sometimes but that is about it. Sometimes I am awake all night. When I was ill the doctor gave me sleeping pills but they didn't work either.

Lovely autumnal weather here.

God Bless

Good to see someone is still about.

Busy here as well, working in the rain. We are supposed to have rain for the next five days. I am sure glad we used a sandy loam to backfill around the house. Else we would be walking about in pure mud.

Cheers,

Jim

I am hoping to still be able to pop in here. I was offered a chance to preach in Hungary in November, but it is just too close to this trip.

Would have loved to have gone. We have been before and love Hungary.

Good evening all.

I generally do not sleep more than five hours per night. I now sleep with a mask over my nose (bi-pap machine).

When I wear the machine all night - I find I need less sleep - as the sleep I'm getting is deep sleep instead of shallow sleep. The deep sleep is refreshing - the shallow sleep is not.

Jan saw the seizure doctor last Wednesday - about a month before the originally scheduled appointment. She suffers from stress related seizures. We are thankful that the cause was not serious in nature.

We wish to thank all for praying.

Jim - we haven't had a frost here - as of yet. The weather person does not predict a frost in the next seven days.

Good night to all - and to all a good night.

Hi all,

Trust the physical ailments are all be sorted for you all Dan.

We had tow frosts here the end of last week. Nothing like that at quarter to three this morning as we get ready for our trip to Germany. Mary's brother is stationed there and we found tickets for €80 ($96, £50) return each. We will be gone till Saturday.

It will be noce to get away for a few days, but it sure is an early start
.

Dan, all the best with your sleeping. Sleep is one of the most important functions we have, the rem sleep, not the number of hours.

So glad that Jan isn't in the steps of suffering a stroke. I wouldn't wish a stroke on my worst enemy. May her doctors find a remedy that works and eases the stress.

Oh, yes, we had a frost this morning. I had to scrape a little ice off the windscreens,,,,,but not much..well, actually, the windscreen wipers did the job, but you get the picture....it is coming.

Cheers,

Jim

Lo, and behold, I got the roof on the medal shed I was erecting. These things aren't as easy as the makers would have one believe. This fact is bolstered by the fact there were three different dimensions given in the same manual for the same area...three no less. I phoned and they gave me the correct dimension...after I disassembled the whole thing back to the foundation. I sure am getting tired of turning screws.

I had to write something to keep this room going....

Cheers,

Jim

I have been very busy with my studies. I am still chasing round for books which I could have been finding/reading during the summer. (Lecturers please note). I have also been very low and depressed and have felt that I have not really had anything worthwhile to contribute here.

Hopefully things are changing, situations improving and I can begin to be more positive again.

God Bless

Thanks, have been trying that, but can't seem to shake thing at the moment.

Our visitirs from England could not sail back on the ferry this morning, but went to Belfast to visit family there.

Want to go to bed early but bangers and fireworks are going off like crazy.

Well, it is a cold and windy day here and it has just started to rain. I think we will spend the afternoon reading and I think we might even light the woodburner.

I hope everyone is ok?

Blessings
