I gave up on people. My dogs come on command, lick my hand, wait for a little rub behind the ears, take a biscuit and lay down behind me.

Not many topics of interest and other things to do like catching up on letters, and by the way, Dan, would you mind sending me your address.

Cheers,

Jim

I can tell by your demeanor. What more need I say.

The smallest deed is far better than the greatest intention.

Well, sometimes I feel like I've got the Board under siege, haha! My name be plastered there everywhere, GrannyGumbo...does she own the place?! >wink wink<

When I was here before, I had fun in the Food Fight, which I'd never done in "real" life, but hey, this is okay here, I guess... At least in the game room, I don't run the risk of being [snipped], I think! ~golden smile~

Hello Jim,

Good to see you too. How is the work on the floor coming along?
I am about to go and read for a while. I will look in later.

God Bless

The floor is still there. There is no rush. There are walls to paint first and that is wife's job. The flooring is simple now. Just boards to be glued in place.

Cheers,

Jim

It is a lamenated flooring, tongue and groove. They just lay flat on the floor and the tongue and groove has glue applied. No nails. The wood sections are 1/4 inch thick, so it does not interfere with doors etc. Tought stuff, and all prefinished.

Cheers,

Jim

Rob laid that type of flooring in the kitchen of our previous house. I dropped a cup and it broke, chipping the laminate in the process, right in the middle of the floor !! [IMG]

Well that would certainly be a big problem - especially if each board was glued to the next.

I can only assume that is why it is your previous house! Rob would rather start over on another house - than fix the chip! [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

Dan, it was only a tiny chip. [IMG]

We moved so I could take my place here at university.

How is everyone today?

Blessings

Good day.

This flooring material is quite durable. I asked the company representative about dogs on this floor and they said read the warranty..It is guaranteed not to sratch over a ten year period. The underlay must be level, so I must apply a floor level material before applying the laminate. This is like a cement mixture and I make enought to cover the whole floor and fairly liquid so it can find its own level, then smooth it out with a trowel.

I shall restrict the dogs from carrying cups of tea.

Cheers,

Jim
