The best study Bible in my possession is the Thompson Chain Reference Bible. It is by far the best, in my estimation. I still use my original King James Version in both preaching and study. Prolly because these are the verses I memorized over time. I do change some words automatically when I am reading from it in public. Then, I also read my own translation at times..just for clarity.

When I use quotes from your great dispensationalists, I do it without further comment and never castigate them. I have too much respect for men of the book, regardless of bent.

    Cheers,

    Jim

A good frosty May morning to one and all. It is rather neat to see a full and warming sun rise and frost on the vehicle windows.

Cheers to all who may venture this way.

Granny, there's nothing quite like home made lemonade. The bottled stuff they masquerade as lemonade these days is nothin like the real stuff. Hey...I think I must be showing my age here [IMG]

I love to see the sliced lemons floating all thru' the liquid. Sometimes I put a slice of lemon on the edge of my tea glass just to look at it, haha. I like the smell of lemons...why once I had a craving for it, I dabbed some lemon extract on my wrist! [IMG] I like lemon cake too.

My daughter, the doctor who lives in Florida, eats lemons like we eat oranges. The worst thing a parishioner can eat whilst sitting in the pew. Dries a preacher up faster than death.

    Cheers,

    Jim

Some folks eat lemons and salt, others use sugar. I put salt on apples & oranges. I use mayo when I make a banana sanwich, but the mister uses peanut butter!

I like rice and gravy, he eats it with sugar & cream. I'm from the south, he's from Missouri, but lived in California the most.

Do y'all have grits where you live? I like yellow grits, but I don't like corn meal mush.

 You don't know what grits is??? My o my. It's a staple we can't live without. It's a corn grain ground finely served as a side with eggs, etc. Some eat it as a bowl of cereal.

Why yes, I do believe grits can be found in North Carolina, but I don't know if you'll like 'em. I think you have to be raised on them, haha.

I think NC is prolly about 15hrs or so from me...but I'd have to look at a map. You'll be really close to Diane. She's on that side of the States.

No grits in Canada. I have seen grits in North Carolina. Not my cuppa. I thought it was something like tapioca with cornmeal.

The lady in the cafe sitcom was in Texas and she kept asking people to eat her grits! Not sure what that meant.

    Cheers,

    Jim

I like lemon pie - and lemonade.

My granddaughter eats lemons - but her parents restrict how many she can eat.

I'll take oatmeal - thank you!
