It is pouring rain outside - I think we've had enough for a while.

Would be nice if it dried up - so I could get in the garden and get some work done!

Back then, being tardy and sent to the principal's office, chewing gum, and a few other minor things were really wild things, for back then. Can't imagine what it's like today in school.

Send me some of that rain...we really need it.

Morning all,

Been cuttingback here quite a bit lately, Doing my "duties" and not much more. Realised how much time I was spending here.

Trust you all are keeping well!

We could use some of that rain.

Hello everyone.

I hope you are all well. We love having Luke and Zoe here. We are busy getting ready to take them to Wales to see our friends and where we used to live. (our friends live in the cottage opposite to the one we used to own). We will be back tomorrow (Thursday) evening.
Will look forward to catching up with all your posts then.

God Bless

Sheila

Hi Sheila, Enjoy your time with grands. It is only a short time when the season is over and moved on. Cherish the moment, and safe travels.

Roger, I hear you. One can get quite absorbed here and without knowing it neglect the things we ought to be doing. I find myself in that jam quite often, and I am retired. There are times I just break with the routine. I do this with the devotionals. Like to-day, I am late. I was up at 5 and completed my own private devotionals, from which come the devotionals I write here. It causes me to pause and think about what I am doing.

Cheers,

Jim

We got a letter from Abigail today - she said she loves us and wants to know when she'll see us again.

Just makes you want to drop everything and take a trip to see those grandbabies!

Hi everyone,

Watching the storm in Florida tonight and tomorrow. Daughter Jo lives in Tampa, but she had to fly to New Orleans on loan there for forensic work. She is due back on Sunday.

Cheers to all, and blessings to any in harm's way.

Granny is always up early! I just don't fire-up the ol'puter right away, but lately I have; and just think, I'm one hour earlier than what the Board time is. I've only had one cuppa coffee so far...but it measures a quart!

Hi Granny and Roger.

I am always up by 5 as well, but not always at this site. To be honest, I haven't found much interesting that past little while, so I go to another site with forums.

We were following events in Florida, but it didn't hit Tampa, so family were fine there. In fact, the granddaughters were more interested in their trip to England with wife next spring. We like all our children to see their roots at least once in their lifetime. They will spend three weeks in London with relatives and there was some talk about going to Paris for a day trip. Grandpa gets to stay home and mind the dogs. I might go over in the fall though, but I won't stay in London.

Cheers,

Jim

This place will always seem like "home" to me. In the heat of the moment back in April(almost 2 yrs. to the day I joined here), I went to OnlineBaptist. I was asked and begged by several folks to come over, to leave my beloved BaptistBoard. My house was being demolished at that time & the 'puter was in another room...in other words everything was outta whack for me, so I signed-up, but it felt weird. Could ya follow all that?

I've posted a few times, still go over to read & the folks are wonderful there; I really love the fact one can talk freely about a certain Bible without getting bashed, but otherwise, I just can't seem to "click"...'course, I haven't played their games yet...hey, maybe that's what I can do when noone's playing here!

Hi Sheila,

Good to see you back. Have a good time in Wales?

I am just flipping around filling in the day.

Granny, I use the KJV all the time. Guess I got used to it when I was young and when I got older was too stubborn to change. I love all versions that help me to understand what the word is all about. I can't see all the todo about versions; they all have their flaws.

Cheers,

Jim

Is it just me, or do you all think some give more personal personal information than we need or want to know?

I know I grew up in a different era, but some things seem to go beyond the basics. That is one of the reasons I have cut back on posting and even reading in some situations. It has not happened here at all. Perhaps that is why I feel safe asking here.

For example, I really don't need to know either bra or dainty sizes, nor do I want to know.

Cheers,

Jim

BroJim~some things truly flabbergast me too. I clicked on a link once concerning the super toilet bowl eye-opener and lo and behold, there it was...I tho't it was going to be a read-only. Ya might try pm'ing your complaint; that's what I did and it helped.

Some things get out of hand & then some things are nipped without a reason. I remember a "thong" thread that went on forever, but a lady who wanted to talk modesty was locked. Think maybe it's the weather or the season, that some see it one way, while others don't?

And if I should ever cause someone to stumble, I pray they will let me know right away & not harbour any ill-feelings towards me. I'm always willing to apologize or to explain myself. Friends forever.

Hello Roger, That is a long time to go without water. I trust you have plenty of bottled water for drinking and cooking.

I see, in England, there was a great flooding, and even motorcars were stacked up where the water had driven them. I didn't catch where the flooding was.

Cheers,

Jim
