Our prayers are with you, Jim.

"For this perishable nature of ours must be wrapped in imperishability, these bodies which are mortal must be wrapped in immortality.

So when the perishable is lost in the imperishable, the mortal lost in the immortal, this saying will come true: 'Death is swallowed up in victory' 'O death, where is your sting? O Hades, where is your victory?'

It is sin which gives death its power, and it is the Law which gives sin its strength. All thanks to God, then, who gives us the victory over these things through our Lord Jesus Christ!

And so brothers of mine, stand firm! Let nothing move you as you busy yourselves in the Lord's work. Be sure that nothing you do for him is ever lost or ever wasted."

Praising the Lord for Beth's safety though Hurricane Ivan. The eye passed within about 35 miles of the campus, but when I got through on her mobile today she was fine. They had not be allowed out to see the campus yet, but praise the Lord she is safe.

Roger, that is good news. PTL.

Good Morning everyone. I just e-mailed Sam to let him know we are ok, and give him our flight details. A long day ahead of us.

I hope you are all ok and I will look in when I can.

Blessings

Good Morning everyone.

Well, it is well after 3 am and I am wide awake. I just thought I would look in and see what everyone is up to. Very quiet in here.

Roger, you have a trip to the U.S. coming up soon, don't you? What part are you travelling to?
Will Mary and the boys be travelling with you?

Our host family apparently bought us a five pound bag of grits to bring back with us and then forgot to give them to us. I do however have a couple of U.S. cookbooks and a set of U.S. measuring spoons, also a box of Nilla wafers so I can make my own banana pudding. LOL.

Roger, how do you get on with buying American products in Ireland? I expect it is difficult for you. I saw those pork rinds you talk about when Diane and I were out shopping. Now I have a better idea of what you are all talking about.

Well, I spose I ought to try and get some sleep,

Good Night all, God Bless

Sheila

Glad you got home safely Sheila,

We are going to the Chicago area for 13 days. Only Mary and I are going - our mission boards' annual meeting and a missions conference. Not a real holiday, but we get to see Matt, Michelle, and Morgann the whole time.

We don't buy American products here. Usually there is "someone coming" so the few things that we really want are no too hard to get.

And you have Vanilla Wafers for banana pudding? Did you bring pack American pudding? If not Mary came up with a recipe that works pretty well.

Oh dear, we only woke up half an hour ago.

Roger, I hadn't heard of American Pudding, but would appreciate the recipe.

Rob and I are like zombies this afternoon. We are on automatic, eating breakfast lol

Leo loves the toys we brought back for him. Some are gifts from our wonderful hosts and we have others we haven't given to him yet.

I will look in later.

Blessings

Good Morning to you all from a rather wet Gloucester this morning.

Rob and I are feeling more human today. We got to evening service last night, which was lovely. The Baptist churches in Gloucester get together for a combined service about every two months. Our church will be the venue for the next combined service in November.

How is everyone today? I hope all are well. I will look in later, have a good morning.

Blessings

Glad you are feeling better.

Mary will look for the recipe she came up with to make banana mudding using ingredients we can get here. Not quite the same, but pretty good still.

Sheila,

I'm glad you had a good trip to the colonies. Thank you for the post card.

Son Kelly was ordained on Saturday - I preached the sermon!

Spent time with all our grandchildren on Sunday - had a family gathering at my sister's home. Finally got to meet Andrew - up close and personal. He's not nearly as big as he looked in the picture we had of him. Then again - none of my grandchildren look very big when they are around men!

Dan,

Kelly's ordination must have been a wonderful family occassion. Quite a family gathering. So does he look for a church now?

We just had an e-mail from the friends we stayed with. They have four dogs, two of them boxers. Really beautiful animals.

Sam will be flying out to New Jersey on the 28th, I am already planning a shopping list for him, with grits at the top of the list!!

Hi everyone.

Looks like everyone has had a busy time of it, and enjoying it. That's good.

I didn't think they had grits north of Dixie?

All the very best to Kelly. Ordination is a very special event and so many blessings flow from it, but it does bring added responsibilities, in representing the King. God bless.

Cheers,

Jim
