Sabbath has always been on Sat - We worship on Sunday - in recognition of the ressurection - and which - IMHO to be a day of rest.

Look here folks! What we have here is that Van hasn't caught on yet that the OP is about OT Law!
Look here folks! What we have here is that Kyredneck hasn't caught on yet that the OT Law that still has effect are ones endorsed by Christ. So simple a child could grasp the concept.

Realize that you are using the Gregorian calendar and its labeling of the days. These days would not have been the labels during the OT era. The principle is that we rest on the 7th day, after having worked for 6 days. The actual day (Saturday) is not that important, but the concept of rest to focus an entire day on worshipping our King is something we should discipline ourselves to be doing.

Greetings,

Good question!

I have this to say:

Mat 22:37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
Mat 22:38 This is the first and great commandment.
Mat 22:39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
Mat 22:40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

AMEN!!!!!

The Lord bless you.....
In His Love.....

Christ Himself is the Christian's Sabbath, Hebrews 4:10, ". . . For he that is entered into His rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from His. . . ."

Greetings,

As the Holy Spirit gave me understanding many years ago, it is exactly what you have stated!

Jesus Christ is the Sabbath! He is the Rest our souls have entered into by His Loving Grace given Gift!
I can still shop on Sunday, clean house, etc.,
Because EVERYDAY HE is MY Holy Sabbath Day!
Now if there are those who still abide by the Sunday rule, well the Lord bless you.

However, we should not forget that the Lord Prophesied in Hosea, that HE was going to "CEASE" all things and that included the Sabbath:

Hos 2:10 And now will I discover her lewdness in the sight of her lovers, and none shall deliver her out of mine hand.
Hos 2:11 I will also cause all her mirth to cease, her feast days, her new moons, and her sabbaths, and all her solemn feasts.

May the name of our Lord be PRAISED!

The Lord bless you......
In His Love....

None. Christ kept them all for me and He did so perfectly.

Romans 10:4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.

Galatians 3:24-25 Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.

Now, lest I be accused of being an antinomian, I will quote: Galatians 6:2 Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.

There are plenty of works for the elect to do after regeneration but they are not done for merit or for reward; no, they are done because God ordained the works by His will and for His good pleasure.

Ephesians 2:10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

Philippians 2:13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.

Greetings,

AMEN!!

The Council at Jerusalem had Christ's full endorsement. Matthew 16:19; Matthew 18:18

LOL, neither of these verses have anything to do with the Law of Liberty.

Mat 28:19-20
“Go, therefore, and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit,
teaching them to follow all that I commanded you; and behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

It seems none of the experts posting about the commands of Christ have taught all of them. Maybe none of them?

This thread may be an effort to learn some of them. Time will tell.
