It is, it may require working multiple jobs, moving, training, but what will not get it done is to sit still and say it cant be done.

There are people who work multiple jobs and still barely make ends meet. Again, not that simple. But if you're bound and determined to preach at the younger generation about how siMPLE it is to just go out and snag a job or get a new job or get multiple jobs, I suppose I can't stop you.

Maybe instead of shaming people for not being able to get a job or for struggling, you should coach someone and if there's some magic formula or way to navigate the job market that they're missing, be a guide. Really take the time to help them.

I work retail. That's mostly what's available where I live. I work part time and make 8.25$ an hour.
The problem for many is that the cost of living is higher, or barely enough. I'm not for the government artificially raising the minimum wage, but our struggles are legitimate.

I live in a retail industry town where the average wage, since 1987 is $8 an hour because our city's chamber wants us to remain a "retirement town." Was still able to go to school and get more education while working and struggling to make the bills. Everything you know has brought you to the place you are at now. Your life, as it stands right now, is the product of everything you know. If you want to change your life, you will need to change what you know. Get more education in a marketable field that is in demand.

It's not going to be easy, and you will have to sacrifice for a while, but it can be done if you budget your money and your time and make advancement a priority. The opportunities are there, but you will have to work for them. We all have to do that.

Not a boomer but not a millennial like you - just have a couple of comments here. First, it isn't that easy but you are only 25, and from your profile, you are more of an artist type so I think you pursue THAT, obviously you are quite talented, Keeping part time job or two is fine, but you'll never be happy in retail, there is little to no creativity in that field unless you become a buyer or something. And I don't you should go back to regular college, you'll end up being just another over-educated millennial with a worthless degree, a design school, beauty school, graphic design school would all suit you better.
