What does the linked story have to do with a lie? All that story talks about is what Rangel thinks.

What was the lie???
Try this on for size ...

http://www.cnn.com/2013/09/04/politics/us-syria/

"I didn't set a red line. The world set a red line," Obama told reporters on the first day of a four-day trip to Sweden and Russia to attend a G-20 summit in St. Petersburg.

The article states that the Great Pretender makes this claim based on international treaties and past action by the U.S. Congress. Rangel, however, makes it pretty clear that he understood the G/P to be speaking for himself, just like the rest of us did.

It is not really all that hard to understand is it?

So yet again, the President lied because folks "understood" him to be saying something and he's saying he wasn't?

Laugh all you want. Don beat me to it in posting that quote that makes it quite obvious the Great Pretender's staff believed him to have "set a clear red line" as well. So your laugh sounds rather forced and hollow from here.

Here is how President Obama lied, and not this morning. He promised to defend and uphold the Constitution. He is seeking to take military action against a sovereign state in a manner other than the Constitution prescribes. Congress must declare war, not give authorization for a few missile strikes. That's funny, Bush did the same thing.

And it was perfectly legal. So what part of his actions fail to uphold and defend the Constitution? The irony here is so thick you could cut it with a knife.

Have you ever read the Constitution? What makes you think the War Powers Act is Constitutional? Because a politician said so? Do you also think the educational system should be under the control of the federal government? Do you think the federal government has power to regulate the environment?

First of all, had you been paying attention instead of going off half-cocked all the time, you would have noted that I don't consider the War Powers Resolution Act to be constitutional. Secondly, it's a law, not part of the Constitution.

yes, and think you have been here before............I think you are an couch potato that talks lots, studies little, and does nothing.....................

And for your enlightened mind to consider, if a law is not Constitutional, it is not a law.

You may think of me whatever you wish. It matters not at all to me. Telling you you're wrong would have little effect on your opinion, so why bother?

And for your enlightened mind to consider, if a law is not Constitutional, it is not a law.
It is until the SCOTUS rules it thus. Opinion of the masses makes no difference as to its status under the Constitution.

What was the lie???

In the words of another democrat, "I did not have sex with that woman!" And, "It depends on what the meaning of the word 'is' is."

In the words of Obama, right after his swearing in ceremony in 2009, "I will get my family and the girls a "rescue dog" from a local shelter! And as of last month, he now has two registered dogs, neither coming from an animal shelter!

Again, in Obama's words, "You can keep your insurance, if you want; and if you like it!" What he didn't say is.....you can keep your insurance if you can afford it once Obamacare (ACA) is finished changing the way your insurance carrier administers it, requiring many cost increases, to pay for the ACA insurance.

I will not be able to afford my current, longtime
(42 years) HMO due to all the costly changes in copays and the monthly rate increases!

I will be going on the less attractive ACA/Obamacare plan. You know, the plan know one in DC or who works for those in DC want? Yes, that one!!!

Yes, he lied........and you have at least three more years of lies! :sleeping_2:

Zaac? No comment about the fact that your statement was shown to be erroneous? Or do you expect us to believe that the president's own staff apparently understood him to say something he wasn't saying?
