//There is nothing amusing about $4 or $5 a gallon gas. Whether it is the middle men or the oil company executives, who knows? Between that and the government, someone is being unjustly enriched off the backs of the American people.//

That is the thanks I get for PAYING taxes through the nose for the last 32 years (since 1976) to keep your gasolilne cheap? 'Welfare for the rich oil companies' -- that is what I call it :(

Gas prices

Do y'all remember nine years ago during the campaign how G. Bush condemned B. Clinton for $1.00 gas saying that was a sure sign of a president with no program and that he would fix things like that when and if he were president.

One big factor driving the upward price of oil is the falling dollar all over the world. The value of the dollar has fallen about 20% in the Czech Republic since January. What does this mean? That a 40 Czech crown item cost me just a fraction over $2.00 in January. Now that same 40 Czech crown item costs me about $3.15. Big increase.

Those of you who support missionaries, please increase the amount you are sending. These families have to be really huring as the dollar continues to drop.

My husband is a salesman for a local fuel and propane company. He says that the oil traders are the ones that are keeping the prices high. It is not the companies themselves, but the middlemen.

Surrrrrrre, Surrre, Debbie----tell us another funny one!!!!!!

The Middleman is makin' us Middlemen squirm, is it?????

No company involvement at all----no profits at all time highs!!! I mean, Exxon---have you checked their profits rateings lately???

BP??

Shell??

Conoco??

Billions of these----$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

But its the Middleman

I lost $23 today on the Precious Metals I own.

My contribution to recession abatement.

Air-line tickets cost much less then they would have to cost if governments of all levels didn't build them huge air ports.

Sports tickets cost much less than they should if the sports owners had to build their own stadiums.

I don't remember that. I do remember gas going to $3+ a gallon and the economy suffering like now, with a tech bubble.

I do agree we need to support missionaries more. We spend more on gold bathroom fixtures in this country than we spend on missions giving. Whenever people tout how much Obama or Hillary or anyone is raising, I cringe when I think about how that could have been money that went to someone making an eternal difference.

I'm waiting for a new car ad that brags about fewer cylinders and less power. Then we will know the price of gas in to high.

There is a truck ad that brags about the truck engine turning from an eight cylinder to a four cylinder once the truck reaches highway speeds.
