The Rise of Dictatorships

It's funny (i.e., ironic) that the first vaccine mandated was for the Army, and it was George Washington who mandated it.

The first government mandate was in 1809 by Massachusetts for smallpox (other states followed suit). In 1905, the U.S. Supreme Court upheld the authority of states to enforce vaccine requirements in the landmark case Jacobson v. Massachusetts.

In 1855 Massachusetts instituted the first school vaccine mandates.

Then in 1867 the Urbana, Ohio, board of health passed a law requiring citizens to get available vaccines in the event of future epidemics.

In 1922 the US Supreme Court decided Zucht v. King, drclaring that unvaccinated students could be constitutionally excluded from attending schools.

In 1944 the US Supreme Court ruled that mandating childhood vaccines comes under the doctrine of parens patriae, in which the state exerts authority over child welfare. In their decision, the justices wrote that parental authority is not absolute and can be restricted if doing so is in the child’s best interest. They went on to say freedom of religion does not give parents the right to expose their community or their child to a communicable disease, or the child to the possibility of illness or death.

By 1980 all 50 states had laws requiring vaccines for children to attend public schools.

In 1987 the Arizona Court of Appeals upheld the ability of the government to exclude students from public schools if they failed to comply with vaccine mandates.

Very informative thanks.

However is this really necessary with the rise of cases, but actual deaths from covid are not really that high

Depends on how you look at it.

If you look at the numbers (over 5,000,000 worldwide) then perhaps you would think so.

If you look at it as a percentage (.063%) then maybe you'd think not.

It depends on how you define "high".

And it is up to the powers that be. In those cases I mentioned people objected to mandated vaccines as well.

How many people have actually died FROM Covid, of the 5 million, and not WITH Covid. This is what we need to know.

The number is over 5 million. I just rounded down. It is estimated. There are some covid deaths where the person may have died of another cause. But then again there are an estimated couple hundred thousand that were not counted at all. This is not counting China (which most likely had more than reported.

Also, suppose somebody was dying of cancer and died of covid before the cancer could cause the death. How should this reported?

So we get what we get - an estimate.

More importantly is how many may suffer long term covid effects? The heart issues caused by vaccines are rare, but they are not as rare with the virus. I have a relative wrestling with this right now.

I was vaccinated twice and got Covid 4 months later.

Now I have immunity provided by recovering for the virus PLUS 2 vaccinations.

I won't be getting a booster. The first 2 didn't work. I'm going to give God's way a chance to work.

You don't know that the vaccinations didn't work - BUT now you're bullet proof.

You can eat raw oysters all year off the Chinese buffets!!!

I'm allergic to shellfish, so that won't be happening.
It's pretty simple really. If you're vaccinated and you get sick anyway, the vaccine did not work. At least for me.

BUT, you are still alive! Would you have survived Covid, had you not been vaccinated? Also, it depends if you have serious Covid, or mild?

Chances are better than 99%, that I would have survived without a vaccine.
That's just an unavoidable fact.
