The salvation of the human will

It is the human will that is leading one into sin and into hell. One aspect of sin is willful rebellion against God - "transgression."

There can be no possible salvation without first saving the will from its rebellion and resistance toward God.

The human will is nothing but the servant of the emotional and intellectual aspects of man or his heart as both terms translated "will" prove that.

Those who oppose this truth are simply confused concerning the difference between spiritual and judicial life as the former logically precedes faith while the latter chronologically follows faith. It is the difference between life as a child verus life as an heir both of which are "eternal" life. Hence, eternal life logically precedes faith (not chronologically) and eternal life chronologically follows faith. Context determines which is being referred to.

Jesus says that "ALL" that the Father gives to the Son "shall" come to the Son - Jn. 6:37,39.

They do not come in order for the Father to give them to the Son but they come because they have been given to the Son. Hence, giving is the cause whereas coming is the effect.

The fact that "NO MAN CAN" come to the Son except it is "given" of the Father (Jn. 6:44; 65) and that "EVERY MAN" thus given by the Father does come to the Son and is raised to life eternal (Jn. 6:39,40,45) proves that eternal life is given only to "as many as thou hast given him" (Jn. 17:2).

Hence saving faith is metaphorically described as "coming" to the Son which is "given" by the Father (Jn. 6:65). Hence, drawing and coming are related to each other directly as cause and effect. Drawing is the instructive work of the Father performed inside all who are given to the son (Jn. 6:45) and "every man" thus drawn comes to Christ and all who come to Christ none are lost (Jn. 6:39; 45).

This is how God saves the human will in the lost man. He gives a new heart created in true holiness and righteousness as the governing inclination within the new man (Col. 3:10; Eph. 4:24) whereby it is God that worketh in you both TO WILL and TO DO of His good pleasure (Philip. 2:13).

Hence, whoseover will may come but those who are not willing do not come (Jn. 10:26).

Then a sinner can force God's hand by believing something?

Regeneration reverses the person's legal status.

Say the city council passes a law. A person violates the law. Who/what condemns the person? The law or the city council?

The city council could have passed a different law.

You are confusing the effect with the cause. The cause is regeneration while the effect is faith. In regard to the relationship between faith and justification the cause is faith while the effect is justification.

Point is that while as sinners, its not that we always keep rejecting jesus, its that we CANNOT NOT be doing that!

Did Paul suggest that those who preach "another gospel" may be "accursed" - Gal. 1:8-9? Was he wrong in making that assumption? Would we be wrong if we sided with him in his assumption? Are there doctrines that indicate the person teaching them should be assumed to be lost? For example: 2 Jn. 9 Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God.

I think it is more of a direction to the readers in dealing with such. They are to treat them as such "Let them be" regarded as such by those who deal with them. Just as Titus 3:10 is directions to treat such as "heretics" or be regarded as such by those who deal with them.

actually, those who are still in their fallen states can and do exercise "religious things", as evidenced by vast multitude that attend church and are in other religions that have no Gospel or jesus in them!

unsaved ARE very religious a majority of them, some no doubt post here and everywhere, but ONLY the redeemed know true jesus!

That is like saying then what Jesus said was from Matthew and not from God or from John and not from God or from Luke but not from God. Why should you believe Matthew, Mark, Luke or John any more than Paul as they all equally claim they are providing God's Word?

I guess Genesis through Deuternomy was from Moses and not from God, etc., etc.

Bill can you name any book in the Bible that God himself actually wrote by his own hand and delivered by air (angel) mail?
