The book published in 2007 has turned into a movie due to its huge popularity. I see that on amazon the book has received more than 12,000 reviews 75% of which are 5 star reviews. This book is heretical and I DO NOT plan to watch the movie. Sad to say the state of the church which is loaded with false converts. Why are these type of books so popular in the church, while deep theology type books get so few reviews? Is it because of the story nature? Anyone here disagree with what I have said in this post?

I'm saddened that Lecrae lacks some discernment as so many believers today. He's a great guy with such a heart for the Lord (I've met him, had dinner with he, his wife and kids when they were young - his daughter was adorable!!) but on this, he is wrong. Paul Young wrote a book explaining his beliefs (I posted a link from Tim Challies to a review of the book just the other day) and he believes in universal atonement for one and that is enough for me to know that he is not orthodox nor is he espousing the God of the Bible but a god of his own making.
