But...Ed....

You're proposing to end the centruries-old theology war!
What will we argue about next?

Still Learning, keep learning. I've been here for a few years. There are two kinds of people around here:

1) Type "A" who comes in here with the attitude that they know it all and that they have been personally sent by God Almighty to come in here and straighten us all out. The Type "A"s don't last in here very long.

Type "A" logic goes like this: "Since there were no rollercoasters in the Bible, rollercoasters are evil."

Or my favorite "Jesus didn't turn the water into intoxicating wine because intoxicating wine is EVIL and Jesus wouldn't do anything that was EVIL. Therefore, the wine wasn't wine!!! Forget that the Greek word is oinos. My theological slant that I learned trumps what the Greek says!!!! How DARE you say my Lord makes wine! That is blasphemy! I WILL PRAY FOR YOU BECAUSE YOU ARE WRONG!!!"

2) Type "B" folks come in here to learn. They have convictions, but they wish to debate and/or learn a thing or two. And they want to help people when they ask advice.

The sky isn't always blue. M'kay? Your avatar shows a gray sky. Sometimes the sky is blood-red. We must come together around Christ.

When you make ascertions, and people ask you to back them up with some sound logic and reasoning, they aren't challenging you nor are they challenging God's Word. They are asking for you to connect the dots. They want your thought process. And yes, h0m0s3xuality is a sin and God's Word says so. I don't need to think about it.

So please keep learning. Maybe some Calvinist will change your mind. Or some Arminian might change your mind. Or maybe after weighing the evidence, you might consider picking up a NKJV.

Hi Jkdbuck76

I would like to think that I am a “type B” person.

Although the wine that Jesus created, “was not intoxicating”:
And we know this because Jesus never sinned or made a mistake.

And the Bible says.........
Habakkuk 2:15
“Woe unto him that giveth his neighbour drink, that puttest thy bottle to [him], and makest [him] drunken also, that thou mayest look on their nakedness!”
--------------------------------------------------
Neither would Jesus have been a bartender.

:BangHead:

I give up. Can someone direct stilllearning to one of our mega-threads on Jesus turning the water into grape-flavored Hi-C?

p.s. I doubt that Jesus made WINE at the wedding in order to look upon their nakedness.

The fact is, the sky is blue; all genuine Christians have agreed that the sky is blue, for hundreds of years; and it hasn’t changed color.

Yet, most of the Christians here, have been convinced that it isn’t completely blue.
Maybe it isn't blue at all.
Maybe it is every color but blue and blue is simply the color that is being reflected. :)

You weren't the one who was supposed to get the headache that I offered. ;)

Actually, the 'color' of blue, is what is "being refracted" in the sky. It's "reflected" in the smilie. ;)

I am color blind, am I really saved since I cannot tell what color the sky is?

The bible doesn't mention color-blind people. You, sir, do not exist.

Just like roller coasters.

Not really necessary.

There are at least a half dozen threads that have had some mention of this at some level, on these pages just since the first of the year, including one on page one, of a forum.

However, I have no intention of doing the homework for one who claims to be stilllearning. ;)

Personally I like it best when it's blue, orange, red, and yellow.

Hi everyone

It is hard to believe, that this question of the kind of wine that the Lord created, is even an issue, in light of Habakkuk 2:15.

Jesus made c.62gal. of wine, for a wedding.
If this had been intoxicating wine, can anyone here keep a straight face, while guaranteeing, that noone at the party would have gotten drunk with it?!?!
--------------------------------------------------
Oh, and the sky is always blue. It just sometimes appears to be orange, red or yellow.

Stilllearning,

Go search for the thread on Jesus and wine. Enjoy the horse.

"The sky is always blue". You'd have my admiration if you could
explain this.

Please don't turn this into an alcohol issue thread -- or I'll turn you black and blue.Or I'll be singing the blues or...(so many pun opportunities --so little time)

Hi Rippon

You asked me.......
“Please don't turn this into an alcohol issue thread”

This is not my intention.
All I am doing is reminding folks about our Lord’s perfect righteousness.
