"During the millennium, Jesus will reign as king over Israel and all the nations of the world

Nope. The Bible does not teach this.

The world will live in peace

Nope. The Bible does not teach this.

Satan will be bound

Satan is already bound. The gospel message of the salvation of God's elect from every every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation(Revelation 5:9).

The purpose of the 1,000-year reign is to fulfill various promises God made to the world.

Clearly, we are in the 1000 years as the promise of salvation of God's elect(first promised in the Garden of Eden - Genesis 3:15) has been and is currently being fulfilled, as Satan is now bound.

Jesus’ 1,000-year reign will be a time of promises kept.

Yes, and we are currently in the 1000 years symbolized in Revelation 20:2-3.

Three "taint so" posts in a row.

1) Does the bible teach we should look forward to the "Day of the Lord's wrath" with sobriety? Yes
2) Does the bible teach peace during the 1000 year reign? Yes
3) Does the bible teach Satan will be (future) bound? Yes
4) Was the 1000 year reign of Jesus from the throne of David promised? Yes

The reprobates? Yes. God's elect who have been regenerated by God's sovereign grace? They look forward with anticipation to Christ's return and the new heavens and earth wherein dwells righteousness.

2) Does the bible teach peace during the 1000 year reign?

For the reprobates? No. For God's elect who have been regenerated by God's sovereign grace? Yes, as they now have peace with God.

3) Does the bible teach Satan will be (future) bound?

Satan has been bound since the cross and Christ's resurrection and ascension to the right hand of His Father.

4) Was the 1000 year reign of Jesus from the throne of David promised?

Yes. The 1000 years is currently taking place and Christ is reigning at the right hand of His Father.

Rewriting my views is like rewriting scripture, the effort is worthless.

"During the millennium, Jesus will reign as king over Israel and all the nations of the world (Isaiah 2:4; 42:1).

The world will live in peace (Isaiah 11:6–9; 32:18),

Satan will be bound (Revelation 20:1–3),

and, at the beginning, everyone will worship God (Isaiah 2:2–3).

The purpose of the 1,000-year reign is to fulfill various promises God made to the world. Some of these promises, called covenants, were given specifically to Israel. Others were given to Jesus, the nations of the world, and creation. Jesus’ 1,000-year reign will be a time of promises kept."

It should be noted that "progressive dispensartionalists" believe "all Israel" refers to believing Jews and Gentiles, thus whatever promises or covenants given to "Israel" we given to all born anew believers.

"During the millennium, Jesus will reign as king over Israel and all the nations of the world (Isaiah 2:4; 42:1).

Jesus is currently reigning at the right hand of His father over all of God's elect from every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation(Revelation 5:9).

The world will live in peace (Isaiah 11:6–9; 32:18),

All of God's elect who have been regenerated by the sovereign grace of God are now at peace with God(Romans 5:1-2)

Satan will be bound (Revelation 20:1–3),

Satan is currently bound as the gospel has gone out throughout the world and God's elect are being regenerated from every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation(Revelation 5:9).

and, at the beginning, everyone will worship God (Isaiah 2:2–3).

God elect worship God in spirit and in truth. All of God's elect do so from the moment they are regenerated onward.

The reprobates never worship God in spirit and in truth.

The purpose of the 1,000-year reign is to fulfill various promises God made to the world.

And the 1000 years is currently taking place as Christ reigns, seated at the right hand of His Father.

Jesus’ 1,000-year reign will be a time of promises kept.

And those promises have indeed and are indeed being kept ever since the cross and Christ's resurrection from the dead, as the gospel of salvation by God's sovereign grace has spread throughout the world since then.

Jesus is currently reigning at the right hand of His father over all of God's elect from every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation(Revelation 5:9).
Revelation 5:9 refers to our future end times, not the here and now.

All of God's elect who have been regenerated by the sovereign grace of God are now at peace with God(Romans 5:1-2)
Yes everyone chosen for salvation thus far have been regenerated and are at peace with God. However what was said is that during the 1000 years, the world will live in peace.

Satan is currently bound as the gospel has gone out throughout the world and God's elect are being regenerated from every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation(Revelation 5:9).
Not what Revelation 20:1-3 says concerning when Satan will be bound.

God elect worship God in spirit and in truth. All of God's elect do so from the moment they are regenerated onward.
God's word says some have their rewards burned up because they missed the mark.

The reprobates never worship God in spirit and in truth.
No one said they did!

And the 1000 years is currently taking place as Christ reigns, seated at the right hand of His Father.
Not what scripture says which is Jesus will reign from David's throne.

And those promises have indeed and are indeed being kept ever since the cross and Christ's resurrection from the dead, as the gospel of salvation by God's sovereign grace has spread throughout the world since then.
"those promises" is not specific, but we know Jesus is not now reigning on earth.

we know Jesus is not now reigning on earth.

God has always reigned and will always reign as He is absolutely totally sovereign over all of His creation - His elect, the reprobates, the land, the sea, the air, the animals - EVERYONE AND EVERYTHING.

LOL, you are just posting a smokescreen to hide the Sovereign Dispensation of the Millennial Kingdom.

God is sovereign, meaning He causes or allows whatsoever comes to pass. Thus He is not the author of sin, and He can punish the lost for their sins because He did not cause or predestine them.

The "millennial kingdom" is taking place right now, Van, regardless of how many times you deny it.

You can't stop God from carrying out His sovereign purposes, Van, regardless of how much you think that you, or anyone else, can.

I supported the biblical view from scripture. You deny:

Rev 20:4
Then I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was given to them. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony of Jesus and because of the word of God, and those who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received the mark on their foreheads and on their hands; and they came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years.

Here we have the future Millennial Kingdom described, and according to your false doctrine, these promised events have or are happening now. Hogwash.

I do not deny Biblical teaching. I oppose false teaching such as you are posting in this thread.

Once again, this poster is addressing me and running like mad from the Millennial Kingdom found in Revelation 20:4.

Once again, Van is addressing me and continuing to post his false teaching and apparently denies that Christ is sitting at the right hand of His Father and currently reigning as Lord and Christ. Van apparently thinks that Christ is waiting until some point in the future to start reigning.

LOL, now I am charged with "denies that Christ is sitting at the right hand of the Father and currently reigning as Lord and Christ."
But folks, no quote will be forthcoming.

Returning to topic, God is sovereign, and if He says Jesus will reign from David's throne on earth, then I believe God and not man-made doctrine.

God never said such a thing as Christ reigning on this earth. You have fallen into the same error as the Jews at Christ's first coming, when they also were looking for an earthly kingdom. They were wrong, and so are you.

Let the reader notice that apparently Van denies the teaching of Christ that His kingdom is not of this world - John 18:36.

Isaiah 9:7 (NASB)
There will be no end to the increase of His government or of peace On the throne of David and over his kingdom, To establish it and to uphold it with justice and righteousness From then on and forevermore. The zeal of the LORD of armies will accomplish this.

Psa 132:11
The LORD has sworn to David
A truth from which He will not turn back:
“I will set upon your throne one from the fruit of your body.

Jesus said to Pilate, "My kingdom is not of this world." Thus the statement addresses the present time, 2000 years ago. His kingdom was (and is today) spiritual, as His kingdom is within us (born anew believers). Luke 17:21

We who have been given to Christ have been transferred into the kingdom of His beloved Son, Colossians 1:13.

But in the promised Millennial Kingdom, He will reign from David's throne on earth.
