That was my conclusion exactly when I studied the pre-trib, mid-trip and post-trib theory. There was NOTHING in the "pre-trib column".

Same here. I was planting churches in the Chicago region, and I studied to present the Biblical case for pre-trib...needless to say, the Word of God changed my course.
At one point, during this time, I read the New Testament through several times, searching for words to do a study on, or verses with wording that wouldn't pop up in a word study.

Most people miss the end of Matthew 23, when they study their skewed dispy prophecy.

Oops!

Dan 12:12-13
12 Blessed is he that waiteth, and cometh to the thousand three hundred and five and thirty days. 13 But go thou thy way till the end be:for thou shalt rest, and stand in thy lot at the end of the days.

To me, this verse kinda makes the "mid-trib" and "post-trib" be the same time...as in there ain't 7 years til the wrath gets poured out, but only 31/2, plus 45 days.

Dan 12:11
11 And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days.

"Most likely hyper-Calvinistic" is your bare conjecture having no correlation to the article whatsoever.
--It is relative to my experience with the Dutch Reformed here who are so hyper Calvinist that they aren't even saved, and don't preach the gospel any more. They rely on a "gospel of works." The Dutch Reformed may have not gone down the trail that far by the end of the 19th century but it was on its way. The Calvinist trail ends in death.

Hmm... hearsay, huh? Humbug!

It is just like hearsay when you don't provide the quote. And you didn't.
Now you have resurrected an old thread. I have gone back, took the time to go back page by page and find the quote where that short statement was made.
You have taken it out of its context!
Not an uncommon thing to do!

The original quote is here:
http://www.baptistboard.com/showpost.php?p=2077535&postcount=215
Posted on January 25, 2014, almost a year ago.

The context: The Dutch Reformed Church, and its theology or stand in Calvinism and good works. I was not speaking of Calvinism in general there but what Calvinism ended up to be in the Dutch Reformed Church.
My experience with the Dutch Reformed Church is the one that we have in our city not very far away from the church that I was attending. Two or more individuals of our church were saved via our outreach, and then testified of the doctrine of the Dutch Reformed church nearby, and what they taught for salvation--basically good works.
What do good works end up in?
Spiritual death!
Case closed!

Not only is this an old thread, it is a long thread--over 27 pages now, and needs to be closed. For that reason it is being closed.
