Been reading old threads? BTW Thanks for the reply.

Revelation 20:14, ". . . And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. . . ."

What does that mean? In V 13 the sea has given up the dead in it and death and hades have delivered up the dead in them - to be judged by the books.

Are death and hades at that time empty? What about the sea? In v 1 of Chapter 21 we are told there is no more sea.

Now might be the time to reconsider Piper's thread started today.

Are these thoughts related to his thread?

Until Revelation 20:13, ". . . the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: . . ." we were told only that the dead were keep in Sheol/Hades in either the upper or lower place of it. Now we are here told also the dead could be held in the sea or in death itself.
