The Willful Sin of Unbelief

LOL, how are sinners heading in the wrong direction turned to God? Through the Good News of the Gospel. Not through the fiction of Irresistible grace

The unforgivable sin is rejection of the gospel.

Once a person is sealed in Christ with the Holy Spirit, that union is forever according to scripture. Yes we can "quench" the Spirit, close down its influence on us, but we will never "force it out."

When and if we diligently follow the Helper's leading, we will engage in effective ministry, earn rewards and enter heaven "abundantly!"

Huh ? You not making sense. Jesus gives repentance, which is a changed new life, thats what He did for Paul, and all the elect

Huh? You are not making sense. God grants the opportunity for repentance to those whose hearts have not been hardened. Therefore God granted or allowed repentance to all those born anew. And yes, they must have heard and learned from the Father via the gospel of Christ.

No He grants repentance, not opportunity, cant you read Acts 5:31

31 Him hath God exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins.

Repentance here is a complete new spiritual mind and conversion and forgiveness of sins , In fact it can be said repentance here is the Newbirth.

LOL, just because I do not "read" into the text unwarranted assumptions from the dark ages, means God grants or allows repentance to those saved, and the opportunity for repentance for those who hear and learn via the gospel.

The new birth is repentance. Repentance is a change of mind, the new birth is a change of mind. 1 Pet 1:3

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,

The words begotten us again is the greek word anagennaō:

  1. to produce again, be born again, born anew

  2. metaph. to have one's mind changed so that he lives a new life and one conformed to the will of God
So repentance is a new life, a changed life, and its from the new birth which is given by Christ.

The New Birth in Christ's Spiritual Body is the result of God crediting our faith as righteousness.
1 Peter 1:3 does not suggest our being born anew to a living hope is our "repentance." When the lost stops trusting in self, and starts trusting in Christ, that is our repentance which God allows. When God credits that change of mind and faith in the living hope of Christ, we are transferred into Christ, undergo the washing of regeneration (being born anew spiritually) and arise in Christ a new creation with a new heart (or inclination.)

God set before the lost the choice to fully embrace the gospel of Christ or not. His redemption plan to allow the lost to change their minds (repent) and believe because the kingdom of God is at hand.

Thats why Jesus is Saviour, He gives a New Life unto God, the one in adam is death. Jesus gives the New Birth by the resurrection from the dead 1 Pet 1:3

Yet another taint so post, citing a non-germane verse.

The New Birth which occurs within Christ's Spiritual Body is the result of God crediting our faith as righteousness.
1 Peter 1:3 does not suggest our being born anew to a living hope is our "repentance." When the lost stops trusting in self, and starts trusting in Christ, that is our repentance which God allows. When God credits that change of mind and faith in the living hope of Christ, He then transfers us into Christ, where we undergo the washing of regeneration (being born anew spiritually) and arise in Christ a new creation with a new heart (or inclination.)

The idea of God "granting" or allowing repentance is that God did not preclude our repentance by our heart being hardened.

The unforgivable sin is the rejection of the gospel!

All people start out in unbelief, thus initially condemned. Then, God willing, they are exposed to the gospel message. If they do not have a hardened heart, they have the opportunity to trust in Christ and fully commit to follow Him as their Lord and Savior.

Even if the person initially rejects or does not fully embrace the gospel of Christ, they may come to their senses later, that is why believers continue to witness in word and deed. The church family has many stories of people being prayed for and witnessed to for years and years, and then by the grace of God, they come to their senses and embrace Christ.

People have the opportunity to repent unless their heart has been hardened until the physically die.

Yes 1 Pet 1:3 tells us the source of the New Birth and repentance, the resurrection of Jesus Christ

Blessed [gratefully praised and adored] be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant and boundless mercy has caused us to be born again [that is, to be reborn from above—spiritually transformed, renewed, and set apart for His purpose] to an ever-living hope and confident assurance through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,AMP

See when Christ was resurrected, the elect in Him was also Eph 2:5-6

Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved)

And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:

Thats why all the elect shall be born from above
