Things not to debate here on the BB

I don't think I've ever seen a discussion about toe rings on the BB.

The manager of the apartment building where I live has toe rings, and she has percings all over her face.

I asked her if she fell face first into a tackle box.

I enjoy the debate here on BB. The problem is not the topics but people who take themselves to seriously. Just take some completely biblical herbal pharmaceuticals and relax.

I remember a quote from Tom Williams that has been one of my favorites ever since I heard him say it at a revival, he said, "If I didn't have anything better to talk about than short-shorts, wire rimmed glasses, and two-toned shoes, I'd pack up my stuff and go home."
I really enjoy the debates here as well. I am from a very small Church and you folks are almost like an extension of my congregation. I have not met anyone here face to face (aside from Salty) but you are all like my brothers and sisters. None of you realize just how much you have helped me through my feet surgeries last year. Being out of work for 10 months the discussions here were heated yet fun and yes I have learned great things from each and every conversation. I can truly say that I love each and every one of you regardless of what has been said or discussed.

May we never be afraid to talk about any subject regardless how heated it gets. :wavey:

God Bless all of you;

Mel

not to mention...it helps when one has the spiritual gift of sarcasm, like me...

The good: I can discuss most things.
The bad: no one takes me seriously.
The ugly: I have no idea...but it always follows "the good" and "the bad."

See what I mean? I'm discussing it, and you've already dismissed me... :D

Now that was funny...

There is a debate section here? Where is it? Can someone point me that way, I'd like to take a look?

Not at all. There is still Arminianism, the Universal Church, the Da Vinci code, Baptismal regeneration, and speaking in tongues, all of which you speak highly in favor of at church. Folks, do you wonder why we are always on the opposite side?
Don't forget my advocacy of a top-down Baptist hierarchy. There's just way too much autonomy and diversity among Baptist churches. And deacons don't have near enough power to suit me. The deacon board should run the church, and the preacher shouldn't forget he's just a hired hand.

You may think I'm the only one in our church who's for this stuff. I'm confident there are many more, but they're just afraid to speak up.

I will say this, SN, you're the only one who's had the courage to tell me I'm full of it.

I hope the folks here realize you and I are having some fun here. Uh, wait. You're serious aren't you?

Same here. I even love the ones who haven't figured out I'm right 100% of the time!

I would never suggest that Dr. Bob should wear a so-called "real tie" as opposed to a bowtie.

However, he might want to consider wearing some different clothes, including a different suit and bowtie, pretty soon. After all, what with wearing the same suit and tie every day for as long as he has, his togs could and probably should stand a visit to his friendly local "Cleaners" by now.

I would like to see a good debate on the sanity of Ed. Sometimes I wonder.
They actually have done an MRI as well as a 'CAT' scan of my head. They didn't find anything.

I have had at least 5 MRI's on my head. They didn't find anything either. Maybe it's common for BB poster's. There seams to be evidence to support the theory. :D

I have had an MRI and Cat scan and they also told me that all was clear. Is that the same as finding nothing?

But we all want the answer to the most important question. Palatka do you wear a bow tie?

Wearing a bow tie is equal to wearing a clergy collar!

Now, there is a debate.

Cheers,

Jim
Brings up an interesting point. What is the purpose of the clergy collar and robes? I've never attended a church that used them and have always wondered.
