I got that private message from Lisa this morning too and wondered why she'd sent it to me.
Here for a moment I thought I was moving up in the world and someone was actually seeking my advice about something.
But I guess it turns out everyone got the same message.
I had no idea they were just trying to spread gossip, thats sad. Im a little confused. I never got to read Spiritual Mad Man's topic on Gossip. Is this Lisa the same person who caused the trouble on that thread and it got shut down?

The rest, well, I am *really* trying.
I just wrote a goodbye to Dr. Bob...
And, I will state so, just once here...
It may last long enough to be read by a few of you...
But, I am so very disappointed...
When even the Moderators can't behave...
It's time to go...

Mike Sr, I sincerely hope you hang around. This is a Christian forum, albeit one filled with fallible humans of which I am one of the chief offenders. So please don't write us off too quickly.

Spiritualmadman, Hang in there, mate. These things, too, will pass. We all say things at times we would like to reword, but the mind knows not wot the fingers are doing. Often we let the fingers do the walking before the mind is in gear.
I concur with Matt, Sue. You are one of those honest gems we truly appreciate.
Overall, I appreciate being here. I would like to post in the Baptist circles, but honesty made me voluntarily step out. In all fairness, the former owner of the BB gave me special permission to post as a Baptist full knowing that I was attending and serving in an Anglican Church owing to my geographical circumstances. So, I can only say the Board has been fair to me, always.

and 2nd I ain't gonna let poision pen letter run me off and accually, I thought how much someone must be hurting to do such a thing and I pray for her...as we all should. People don't strike out unless they are hurting. I don't know it all... all I know is that without Jesus we are doomed. I pray for all other who were hurt by this letter and mentioned in the letter also. Lord I lift them up to you,and ask that you will heal their hurt for the attacks on them & give them grace to bear it.

You obviously missed yesterday. Don't ask!
Got home from NZ late yesterday and this morning opened what must be the 'infamous' PM by Lisa. Guess she/he got to just about everyone, eh? Some people seem to enjoy causing trouble. We get them in our lives and on the board. I feel deeply sorry for anyone whose purpose even at just a moment in life is to cause trouble and confusion and anger. What their own hearts must be like is hard for me to imagine.
And yet...and yet...before Christ weren't we all like that to some degree or another?
I pray this person will not harden his/her heart to Christ forever, or even any longer. I say his/her because the name is probably made-up and who knows the person behind it?
I've been on this board a long time and it keeps bouncing back from such attacks. I remember when I was a moderator here, a few years ago, that we had about 24 or 48 hours (Clint would remember!) of pornographic spam. Ych! But that, too, passed and the board continued.
