Interesting juxtaposition comparing what people complain about today; in this case, a private 501(c)3 foundation setting rules for participation in its activities...
compared to what God's elect have suffered over time -
Hebrews 11:35-38 Others were tortured, not accepting deliverance; that they might obtain a better resurrection: and others had trial of cruel mockings and scourgings, yea, moreover of bonds and imprisonment: they were stoned, they were sawn asunder, were tempted, were slain with the sword: they wandered about in sheepskins and goatskins; being destitute, afflicted, tormented; ( of whom the world was not worthy: ) they wandered in deserts, and in mountains, and in dens and caves of the earth.
Acts of the Apostles 7:59 And they stoned Stephen.
Acts of the Apostles 8:1 And at that time there was a great persecution against the church which was at Jerusalem; and they were all scattered abroad throughout the regions of Judea and Samaria, except the apostles.
Acts of the Apostles 12:1 Now about that time Herod the king stretched forth his hands to vex certain of the church. 2And he killed James the brother of John with the sword.
